I like the Metalcraft headers and will be ordering a set this weekend. I was impressed by what they had to say on their website.

What do the stock headers look like without the heat shields?

Yes they can! The 360 headers are very similar in design and construction to the 355 without the longer tailpipe which splits into two. I really like these headers.

Just a heads up on your header install Bertocchi. I have a set of ceramic coated headers on my 355 without the shielding. Be sure to add a heat shield between the alternator and the header. I also covered the brake lines with an insulation pad, the ones below the both pipes on the frame (see your pics). Even though the ceramic coating is there I think the radiant heat could be a problem over time something the factory shields probably stop. Having the tubes exposed is the only to go IMHO they look great. Regards, Vern

Does anyone have an example picture of how the heat shield looks? I have an idea but was wondereing what others have done. My alternator has failed twice now.

Were the headers installed with the engine in or engine out?

I just compared the picture in this thread from 2005(post #31) and mine today. I think this is my car! Lol

top picture is from 2005 and bottom from 2020

Comparing the pictures, it has the same paint chip on the subframe and header welds. But who knows...

Looking at this headers, it looks to be a 4-2-1 design like the factory and Tubi headers.
