There was an auction on Ebay last week for a an Aluminum tube that replaced the 'ribbed' rubber hose that is stock.
Tey pointed out that you would get the benefit of the Full diameter
since there are no ribs. Sounds good and it looks better.
What I want to know is there any place up wind (for lack of a better
description) that the area of the ductting is less than the full 3" of the tube.
If it is close to the area diameter of the id of the rib's then the tupe wold be all show and no go.
If anbody has worked this out b4 let me know.
The price was not unreasonable (For Ferrari items and they even suggested
keeping the old ribbed tube for shows.
I know of several Ferrari ownes that have tire wheel combos that 1 is for show and the other is for go.

Do a search for Motovanti. They are the makers and there are some threads on opinions. I have it, looks great, no performance difference.
