My apologies if this seems like 'one-upmanship,' yet those of you familiar with the White Mountains can understand that my home tele # is one digital away from the White Mountains Observatory.

It is snowing about a foot an hour here right now. here are some 'preliminary' shots i just took as the snow is still falling swiftly.

NOTE: there was not much snow on the ground here yesterday, perhaps a few inches. As of 11:30am today...

The vehicles are a '99 Jeep Cherokee and a '05 Ford Ranger. The door shot pretty much tells a good story i guess.

PS: coldest temps so far this winter was -35F on November 25 at 3:30am according to our top-line calibrated weather station.

Wow, it was 95 degrees and humid this past year. Hard to image that kind of weather when there is almost a foot of snow outside.

9 inches gets you outta school?!? it has to be at least 1 1/2 ft to be considered here :(

I remember my freshman year, it snowed soooo hard (3 1/2 ft at least) We ended up having the entire week of school off :D Wanna know the best part? It was the week before spring break....2 week vacation!! :D :D

    Seriously? Thats nuts

2 years ago we had 4 days off (mon-thurs). On the 4th day nothing happened, the roads were clear and there was only 1 other school who didn't go back that day in the area. That was cool....until Friday came....

I saw two wakeboard boats going to a local lake here this morning on my way to work.
    I love California.

Ever seen Rallye de Monte Carlo? ;)

Or the Sn*Drift Rally in Mich?

Now that's my idea of "drifting". ;)

Lancia Stratos? Celica GT-Four? EVO? These aren't fun cars?

    How about this:

Over last night and this morning Montreal got a bit more then 40cm of fresh snow. I woke up to a winter wonderland! Until i realized it was my job to go shovel the car out and clean it. Now that was not fun!

Well, the snow 2 days ago turned into freezing rain and then regular rain. A lot of the snow has gone now
