    A thing on the news yesterday: Parents spending huge money on kid's parties. The one featured was a "Coming out party" for a girl turning 13 years old. It had rappers, a pop singer and a singing transvestite for Chris' sakes.
    The tab for the party was 200K!
    What the hell is the matter with these parents!

    I saw that. Was at some hotel. The girl sounded like such a brat. The sister sounded pretty grounded. The mom dressed like she was in college/early 20's. I am amazed at how much money these people truly have. Are they really that wealthy?

    The Motley Fool article says "Brooks reported to the SEC that he had sold off $186 million worth of stock" last year! So $90 million might be net after taxes and subtracting his basis. He still holds 3M+ shares according to Yahoo and the article further says he has warrants for another 5M shares at $1 a share.

    Sheesh thats just completely nuts, I've attended a couple $50k ish bat-mitvas and thought that was a little silly.


    Then again if I had a $90mm/yr income and was ceo of a billion dollar company I probably wouldn't give 2 ****s either.
