I LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND AM GOING TO PURCHASE A 360 FIRST OF THE YEAR WAS WONDERING WHICH DEALERS ARE A GOOD BUYING EXPERIENCE AND WHAT IF ANY NEGOTIATION IS DONE WITH THE STICKER PRICING, I AM ACCUSTOM TO HOW MERECEDES AND PORSCHA DEALERS WORK BUT NOT TRUE EXOTIC/FERRARI DEALS. ANY HELP SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

AHHHH The joys of owning an exotic! I belong to the Ferrari Driving Club and The Ferrari Owners Club I own a Triple Black 360 Spider... All I can Say is that I love it! Anyway I am an Independent Dealer, Not only can I find you your car but I also offer financing if needed. Feel free to call me at the Dealership the number is 858-654-2886 ask for Omar I am the owner. I go to the auctions every week and I can save you some money. We have a great Ferrari Mechanic that I use and that I highly recommend. He can inspect the car for you if needed. When you call the dealership if I am not there ask for Fernando (he is my right hand guy) and leave a message with him, please let him know that you are a friend from Ferrari Chat. I am more than happy to help a fellow F Chat member.

You ought to fill out your profile so we know where you live. Ferrari-Maserati of Orange County/San Diego seems reputable, based on my discussions with an acquaintance who has dealt with them for several cars.

Prices for 360's probably are more negotiable than for the F430, which is the newest V-8 model. There are a lot of 360's for sale, depending on what you want (coupe, CS, spider, red or another color...) I would negotiate for one just like I would any other high-end car - if anything, you have a lot of choices which puts you in a great position.

I'm also a newbie to exotics, and I felt most comfortable dealing with an established dealer. I wanted the security of a bricks-and-mortar place because I'm used to having that with my Porsche (and Benz and BMW before that). I paid a bit more, and you may, too, but I'll also sleep better. ;) That said, you could look at dealers outside your area. It's much more common in the Ferrari world for people to buy cars from out of state, just because there are fewer 360's than there are Porsche 911's.

I think there are some threads on fchat - use the search function - about which Ferrari dealers come up roses and which don't.

Ive heard mixed things about Andy Cohen and BHCC. However, the times Ive visited his showroom, he was always very corteous and professional. I have yet to buy a car from him but Im certain that will change in the near future. Even though he might not have the 360 you're looking for at the moment, he most likely will be able to locate it for you. The weekend guy to ask for is Derek. Young guy but knows his job.
