I parked my black testarossa across from the elevator in the West Village apartment deck floor 2 in Dallas only to have it keyed to the bare metal. This occured on the night before Thanksgiving between 6:00 and 10:00, I am offering a 500 reward for info leading to the arrest and convition of the vandal. pm me if you have info.
    Thanks
    J

Im so sorry about your TR.

I just moved to Dallas, and one thing i've noticed is the jealousy between the have-nots and the haves. I have a few stories allready, regardless they all seem to boil down to jealousy.

Funny thing is, the best part of Dallas so far is the people. Nicest people I've ever met. Everyone makes me feel welcome, and talking to strangers in a coffee shop is like talking to an old friend. I love it.

I guess those of you that have lived your lives here can give a better explination of why someone would key a Ferrari.

I guess you dont care why, J, but my heart goes out to you none the less.

    Robert

Wow, very sorry to hear about this! My Supra was keyed last year and I have had condoms thrown on it on 2 different nights. I can't wait to see what people do to my F-car now that I have it. :-(

Again, really sorry to hear this, I hope you catch that sorry excuse for a human.

Sorry to hear about your car.....although I'm not surprised given some of the behaviors (misbehaviors) I've seen in the area at night .

I always self-park in the valet area by Paris when I go to the West Village at night.

One of the problems with owning a black car is that they are targets for keying! I owned a gorgeous black Eldorado and it got keyed and I have a good friend who had a black Alliante and it got keyed twice!! Sorry to hear about the unfortunate occurrance, but in the future you really need to watch an unattended black higher end car in Dallas. Even to the point that if you are not sure, then don't take it--I don't! It is unfortunate this is the set of circumstances that exist, but they do.

That type of thing really disgusts me. I really don't understand how people can act that way and rationalize it in their own mind. I hope this loser is found. If they aren't, I'm sure life will shlt on them some more for damaging your TR.

In Dallas, invest the 10 bucks in the valet as you can see its well worth it. Jealousy abounds. No valet... take the other car.

I have a reason for not using the valet (busted front air dam) the key mark goes from the window to the pillar behind the door across the flat part on the dr side, down to the metal and all the way down the passenger fender. They also spit all over it. this was directly in front of the elevator, brave bastards could have been caught, btu I guess they got away with it. Thanks for your sympathy, I hope whomever did it gets ebola.

I still valet now and then, prefer just to pay them to let me park in valet spot. I think 50% of the damage to my car has been from a valet, although they've only driven 0.0001% of the miles.

You remember Travolta's line in Pulp Fiction...It'd be worth them doing it, just to catch em"! So True! I've been keyed Twice. I don't own an F-car. Both times it was my 99 Tahoe! Once in front of my girlfriends house and another time was in front of a coaches house (High school coach of mine, back in the day). Pissed me off to no end! It's such a peice of **** thing to do!

That sorta what I said! Something along those lines!
First time it was keyed to the metal the whole length of the passenger side. I hate pin striping....especially that kind! The second time, some kids hit me with some swear words in the passenger door! What sucked...happend three weeks from each other. When I got "pin stripped", I had the truck back for 8 days when the second "hit" came! Pretty sweet!

still shakin' my head, getting that upset over a Tahoe? I just don't see why anyone would have an issue with a Tahoe.

It's an evil SUV. People hate them these days, even many F-car drivers.

My black 308 had keyburn when I got it. Jano painted it for me, and it came out nice. I've never heard of black cars being targets. Weird people out there. Can't shoot 'em if you can't catch 'em.
