I sit here and "tune in" to our region, whore myself over to Chicago's region, and still the updates are few and far between!! Then I look to California, Texas, Florida, etc. and see them talking about drives, meets, "spotter's threads", and it makes me want to cry!!! ;-)

Then I flip to the weather.com and see that we are supposed to get 6" tonight. Yeah, and so is my wife.....

One can only hope that the weatherman will be just as disappointed in the morning!!! ;-)

That's only because we don't fight any more. So we don't get others to join in our once beloved conversations. Oh I miss the old days. BOO HOO Hey come on down to the World of Wheels at the end of Jan. and see the toy, then I can finally buy you that beer that I promised you. I can do this since there will be about one and a half dozen friend showing their cars with me so I'll feel protected and not have to fight you over REPLICARS. You can also come down and help me in Spring when I hope to put in the fake dash and console. "Merry Christmas my Friend" quoted the Red Baron to Snoopy!

That is what I was joking about when I said, I can only hope the weatherman will be as disappointed in the morning...

Translation - My wife is disappointed in the morning and I hope the weatherman will be too (meaning we got 2-4" instead of 6")........ A joke about my "size". I thought it would be funny to joke saying I was lacking there, as the public always says guys with Ferraris, Lambos, etc. are compensating for other "things".........

Jokes just aren't as funny when you have to translate...... :-(

Anyway, I see you're a Husker fan!! Nice!!

    Thanks Buddy...

Yeah, I am done with all that drama. As are you it seems. We should start something unrelated up again sometime in February or March when this place will really be dead. It might liven the place up!! ;-)

I will for sure come down for a Chicago event or get-together. Lord knows I spend as much time trolling around on your region's board as I do mine. I would love to meet you guys. I was thinking about going to the World of Wheels show. My uncle gets the royal treatment from the Mercedes dealer he keeps in business so they send him down with tickets, drinks, food, etc on a coach bus with the rest of the bigshots. He said I could go and be his "guest". I probably will....

Sounds like Andreas is finally getting High Speed for his computer connection and already bought XBox Live. Looks like a bunch of us are going to start playing Forza on it soon (maybe tonight). Do you have XBox??

$179 buys you the entire system WITH Forza (the racing game) and a free 3 month subscription to Live. I have another 3 free months I could send you to take you well into the driving season..... You already HAVE the high speed connection, I would guess.....

    Hey Bill,
    Don't feel too bad.....

My lady told me to, "Give her 12" and make it hurt!"

So, we did it 4 times and I spanked her with a frat paddle!! :D

I know it's non PC for all of the ladies that may be offended by this, I'm sorry, but it was just a joke.

Im certain Im going to dump the H2 next year. It sits at the office or my parents house all the time save for weekends. It doesn't perform much better than the Durango in the winter anyway and with the indoor spare wheel blocking so much space, the friggin Dodge has more cargo room.

Either way, its kind of fun driving around late at night in such tank like cars and have little worry. Preparing for a trip late at the office one night I later had fun driving around in the snow covered dock and driving through snow plow piled up drifts in the H2. But that environment wears thin in the mornings when dog needs to be taken for his walk or my food samples freeze in the car. Shoveling the drive is a fun thing to do after a run but not when your wife says you look like a spokesperson for the rejuvinater hair coloring gel due to the frost on the facial scrubs and your nose is pouring worse than a faucet. At least the NHL is back on but I used to love going to the FLA Panthers when I lived in FLA and wearing shorts...

Every region has its ups and downs, Bill. I was in FLA for 2 and a half years and thought it was awesome but home maintence and the friggin bugs was plain annoying. 10 bucks for a watered down glass of rum and coke please, ( Naples.) Fav vacation spot is Vegas but away from the lights and $$$, that is a very nasty town. Plus close to 120 in the summer? Its ok that you ran over that drugged out hooker or broke cowboy in your Ford rental car Grand Theft Auto style because they were going to melt in 5 minutes and even Circus Circus turned them away anyway.

You have shown us the lighter side of Huskerbill with your Xmas card posts. In the past I would get my mind off the cold by working out more, playing indoor sports, snowmobiling or something. Judging by the gal in your picture, the cold would be a great excuse to umm, stay at home and "cuddle" all day. I am finding out that is one the best perks of being married.

As similarilly mentioned before, would rather have the woman of my dreams to interact with than any car. If I was single, rich dot.com dude in California driving my Enzo around town contemplating that I just got dumped by Jessica Alba or someone, even the million dollar ride in paradise like weather wouldn't make me very happy. Stick me in a wood cabin with her up in Saskatoon or something for two months, uhh I'd find something to do and forget in a heartbeat where I left the keys to the car.

    Poor North Midwest.

I drove my 328 to work on Tuesday. I'll drive it again on Saturday, for our 'Toys for Tots' run. Then I may have to park it for a few days.

THIS is why I left Minneapolis. I was pissed everytime that I had to store my toy for the WINTER. Sure, the summers were very nice.....all 8 weeks of them!

That & the TEXAS girls are much nicer looking......

Husker, feel free to join up with us on our drives anytime. We do a Northern Illinois into Southern Wisconsin Drive in April-May. Ferry from Milwaukee to Muskegon,MI. for the Air Show in July. And,usuallly have an impromtu drive up that away here and there. Plus,Chi-Town isn't all that far away from Madison.

I went on a Drive with the Alpha Romeo guys a few months back. We went up to Spring Green. Man,I gotta tell you. I was physically worn out at the end of that Day. I left my house around 07:30AM. We started out at 08:30AM...in Belvedere...so that right there was about a 45 minute drive. Then,we hit the old 2 lane country farm roads....FLYIN'! ALL DAY!!! I got home around 6:00PM or so that night and I was beat....But,It sure was a hell of a drive. What a blast! I strongly recommend it to everyone.

I hear ya on the cuddle time. Was supposed to have that this afternoon but fell asleep!! Ha!! Getting old!! ;-)

She had a surprise early 30th birthday party for me last night. First birthday party I have EVER had (since my birthday is on Christmas Day). I was in Milwaukee shopping (my buddy was in on the deal) and came home to 30+ people in our downstairs living room. Crazy. She had food, drink, dessert, etc. I had NO clue. Not until I hit that bottom step and "opened my eyes". Yep, she's a good one!!

Snow/ice here in the Erie region since before T-Giving but the main roads have been dry enough that I said screw the salt and took the cars out.
I had already started driving them in the rain late this Fall.

Cheaper to repair body rust than mechanical/drivetrain issues from underusage.;)

    See ya.
