WHEELS.... I don't care how you do it... Take out your VISA, AmericanExpress card, whatever... BUY SOME WHEELS. You seriously shouldn't have taken pictures until you put some 19in (not Chrome) wheels. It's actually not that bad, but the wheels you have on just ruin the whole thing. Not trying to be mean, just being very honest... wow... those wheels just kill the whole thing... sorry...

I'd get rid of the sunroof. Or at least paint it over.

Any chance on cutting some cooling slats into the engine cover or would that flood the trunk?

Congrats! Looks like a lot of car for the money. Enjoy in good health.

Anyone who is an auto enthusiast and is upfront about it is koo in my book.

Don't mind the critics on this board, they wouldn't even give their mothers a break when it's ferrari related.

Dave, as i said I didnt want to cause anything, just let the bullies know their attitude stinks sometimes....

Please do not take this further but I think you should just be glad that Ferrari Replica Guy has a nice attitude and finds it rather easy to forgive some of the stick he has taken.

Very strong opinion but he can really do what he wants with it. If it looks similar to the F40, why not put the Ferrari badges on?

I'm sure Ferrari Replica Guy thinks he has invested wisely as he has a car that a lot of folk will think is an F40, maybe not you or me but others yes. As he stated before, it cost a fraction of the price to purchase and maintain.

    Remember its just a hobby

In regards to what is up with that picture ... I noticed the tape had not been removed only after I saw it in the pic. I have since removed it.

And that pic of the cat with a lime on his head is super awesome!

I dont see nothing wrong with putting Ferrari badges on this car, owners of 206/246's and 308 GT4's seem to get away with it.

Oh man, this thread is a Riot!
6000+ hits and 250+ posts! Even a guy buying a real F40 wouldn't get this sort of action!

And Replica Guy is taking all in good stride.
    One thing I'd say to your proclamation against ever spending the cash on a real Ferrari is simply;
Fella, just take a ride in one first. Feel the way the car responds to the road, the corners, and listen to the music of the engine as it winds through the gears!
And then you'll know what driving a Ferrari is all about!

For now, put some aftermarket F40 style e-bay wheels on it after you get the paint fk up taken care of, and you'll pretty much have the look.
Don't know what you're going to do when you start the engine with a crowd of admirers around though? Maybe get a tape of a real F40 engine running, and you can put some speaker in the trunk to cover the sound of the puttputt.

Whether you agree with replica cars or not, you gotta hand it to the guy for having big enough ones to post on this site!

Thanks for giving me some smiles on an otherwise couple boring days at sea!

Now, where can I get a F40 kit to put on my Boxer?

I have some wheels on order and I posted a pic of them on post #184 of this thread. About the sound I do wish I had a better sound. I have decided that if I am going to keep this longer term that I will get a V8 in it. While it still won't sound like a Ferarri it will sound better than a V6. I am a fairly perceptive person and I never knew Ferarris had a special sound until I started reading this page. Now I am also not much of a car buff as far as spending time trying to learn different cars characteristics .. but if I never knew that I can safely assume most people don't either.

You didnt know about the sound! ferraris are not about just the looks.

Good luck with your car and dont let these people get you down. This will inspire you to buy a real one soon. As soon as you ride/ own a real one you will understand.

I think that we can safely say there are more Ferrari Fiero's than Ferrari F40's, so i therefore welcome the Fiero into the Ferrari family, Welcome sir Ferrari Fiero :D

Nope. The 250 GTO (1962) came out before the Pontiac (1964). Pontiac's GTO name was lifted from Ferrari by John DeLorean, then Pontiac chief engineer.
