Although you guys have already decided Page Mill is out, I thought I'd put my 2 cents in from a recent experience. On the first exotic Meet & Drive, some of you might recall that Robert and I (308 GT4) bailed out early. We took Page Mill from Skyline back to Stanford Shopping Mall, and it indeed wasn't the best quality road. Plenty twisty, yes, but not likely what you're looking for in a Stradale/Murci showdown.
Having second thoughts about going on sunday. Is there a plan yet for saturday other than the meeting place?
Why not go to both? We need to help Yin bring his friend to the dark side! Depending on how I feel on Sunday morning, I might still go to the drive on Sunday.
It comes down to gas. I've got a half tank in my car which is about 80-100miles. I cannot financially swallow two drives up and around woodside in one weekend. And secondly, I do not think i'd be helping in the conversion of Yin's friend too much by bringing my SVT contour. I just really want to get some driving action as there aren't that many nice corners in santa clara...
Should be pretty good attendance this weekend- esp on such short notice. Alex, I look forward to seeing you buddies modded murci. Hey Alex- Out of curiosity, where in downtown woodside is this address? Thanks man
Just checked the weather and it looks like there is a chance of rain later in the day. We should be ok for our drive then. See you guys in downtown Woodside at 10am. Address to the area: 3052 Woodside Rd, Woodside, CA 94062 Go to the parking lot after the intersection. That's where we will be.
Rick - sorry to hear you can't come. All - please try to be there before 10 so that we can leave by 10am to beat the rain in the afternoon.
Nuts. As I opened the garage door, the rain started. I don't mind getting the car wet and dirty, but the drive tends to not be as much fun. See you guys on the next one. Gary
The day started out pretty good (no rain) and ended in an excellent note ( w/ rain)! Although the rain caused rev limiters to go off once in a while, I found the drive a lot of fun! The route was excellent! Great job to Alex and Arun for an excellent drive! Lets use rain tires next time and I wont forget to bring earplugs thanks to Anton's murcie and of course Arun's CS. Take it easy guys
Awesome drive! I would like to thank Yin for giving me the route he is going to use tomorrow. That was an awesome route and as you said, VERY NICE...Literally! You the man. Gary - wish you still showed up. I lost my talent once today, but I'm really glad nothing bad happened. It was a bit wet, but still a lot of fun. We also saw a Porsche C-GT parked across the lot we were at in downtown Woodside. Spoke to the owner briefly - too bad he couldn't join the drive. pics to follow...
Here's a link to the pics I took http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2116020287&code=19762214&mode=invite&DCMP=isc-email-AlbumInvite
Great drive Alex and Arun, even with a little rain. It was fun to " hit the rev limiter " in the wet!! Sorry I had to leave a little early, family stuff . Dan
Thanks for showing up. The rest of the drive to HMB was pretty slow, though. We ended up eating at the brewing company near the HMB airport.
Great drive today! Quite a bit of rain but fun nonetheless. Pics will follow shortly. Man, Antoine's (sp?) Murci was badass!
Even in the sub-par weather, we still had a blast! Here are a few quick pictures. Hope to see you guys out there more oftern! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
