Enzo Ferrari drove a Mini

Believe it or not, for most of the latter part of his life, a Lancia Gamma wagon was Enzo Ferrari's regular vehicle.

 

But the designer of the Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis, never owned a Ferrari.

 

it would be neat to see what has become of Enzo's car collection.

 

I don't think he had one. I think he went down and grabbed whatever was in the parking lot or garage at the time, and drove off in that.

I know in general he favored sedans and 2+2s, as he took his dog with him everywhere.

 

Years later, Frank Stephenson, designer of the new MINI, left the BMW group and took a job designing with Ferrari.

I'd like a red new MINI with a yellow roof and with the prancing horse on the roof. Maybe some green/white/red pinstripes too.

 

And then was quickly moved to FIAT.
