Hard to sell an exotic this time of year....unless it's to a TX redneck like me living in PA who don't mind taking it out in the snow and ice.:D

Seriously, though: she'll sell. I see you already got an offer for her!

Yea, if your selling just before XMas people may think you're desperate and willing to cave in to a low ball.

What are you going to do if it sells before the SD/event on Jan 7??
Maybe you need to put in a stipulation to be picked up after Jan 7??? :)
Sorry to hear you are selling it. Hopefully you are replacing it with something better.

This event might be good exposure for the car. You might mention in the ad that the car will be there so interested parties can be there at the same time. Multiple potential buyers looking at the car concurrently could generate enough pressure among themselves!

Okay, I have a 348. So I'll give ya the 348+12k since that would equal 360. Don't despair, it will sell. BTW what's the asking price????

Ya, im not worried on if itwill sell it is just funny and almost amazing what people will offer or say.

I was hoping to have it sold at have this Red tan 430 for the meet but I do not know if that will happen fast enough.

As much as I want to change it I am still happy the car is in the garage.

Taking offers between 115k to 120k

F1 or 6 speed? Is it resale red? Low miles, what is the entire story? Are we missing something that makes you feel the car is being low balled by these guys?

I've seen a few '99 360's for lower than $115K, with reasonable miles and reasonable stories.

Not that yours isn't special, I'm sure. It's just that even the dealers are a little antsy about 360 values right now. I know Algar is only taking them on consignment, or at least they were last month.

And this isn't really sports car sales season, at least not in 2/3 of the country.

Has anyone come close to what you're looking for?

well, when one sees page after page of various 360 types for sale in the FML, as has been the case over the last several months, it's probably an indication of either a soft or over priced market for these...

I guess you've never been to BJ. Late model (less than 15 years old) Ferraris don't get any respect at auctions like BJ. The emphasis there is on muscle cars or very limited production or concept cars. Regular Ferraris get hammered (pun intended) for less money than Keith Martin or FML will say is the "correct" price.
Best bet to get the most money for your car is classifieds like the one on this forum, or FML. Even your local rag will work.
Second best option, if the car is clean and relatively low mileage - consign it at your local Ferrrari of exotic car dealer. There really is a buyer for every car.

A month or so ago a few fchatters were posting BJ auction results for 348's, and the selling prices were surprisingly strong. Prior to those posts, my opinion was that auctions were for Buyers. But after those posts, that BJ might just be for Sellers after all...though as you note I haven't been.

There are 4 Ferrari (two 308's, a 355, and a Mondial) for sale at BJ next month out of 1085 cars consigned. BJ is increasingly focused (sellers and buyers) on 1950's, 1960's, and early 1970's American iron, hot rods, "resto-mods", and rare american prototypes. This is the wrong place to sell a Ferrari or Porsche. I'm increasingly convinced that BJ has altered the entire January Phoenix auction market such that Russo & Steele and R&M are offering almost no late model (1995 or later) Porsche or Ferrari in 2006. I'll be at the R&M to see the a few great Ferraris go on the block including a few 275GTB.

There have only beeen two 348's sold at BJ since 1988.
    in 1997 a '90 348 TS sold for $52,000 and in 2002 a '94 348 Challenge car sold for $52,380.
In the 2006 BJ auction there are only 4 Ferraris entered - two 308's, a Mondial and a 355.

I really enjoy the 225 and 275 body styles.

Can you elaborate on how BJ has altered the auction market, please? That sounds intriguing.
