Yep. Great thing about being from Quebec is that everyone thinks you're an @sshole right off the bat. No need to waste time proving it to them...
Ditto to that. 2005 has been a decent year. Highlights: - going to NADA in New Orleans - driving a Mercedes McLaren SLR - riding around MSR in a Gallardo SE - helping out Lamborghini of Dallas with 2 events - driving a Gallardo - buying my "very own" drumset (long story) - starting back into roller-hockey - starting my senior year of university - meeting more F-chatters - attending SEMA (seeing a Pagani Zonda for the first time) Overall, I can't complain. 2006 holds an abundance of promise, along with built-in change factor. I'll be graduating in May. Who knows where I'm going from there? Two industry trips are planned (Orlando for NADA and Germany for an Automotive Marketing student competition). I am looking forward to this year and the changes it will bring with great anticipation. Thank you to all of you here on F-chat who have been kind, inclusive, and instructive. I am deeply appreciative for each of you. Thank you. Good luck and God Bless in 2006!!!
Sad but true. I was out west and in Florida, and one the most common phrase was: "You're from Quebec?? Funny..you don't look like an *sshole." or "Compared to other Quebecers, you tip pretty generously." Sigh.....
I've learned that even though I am working a job I don't like and have a few things I need to deal with, I'm a lot better off than most. I didn't have to suffer through having a home destroyed in a flood, and insurgents didn't try to blow me up as I shopped for food. I learned that there are people out there who are going through a lot worse than I am. I learned that I have the best friends anybody can ask for. They have stood by me and helped me through tough times when I'm feeling really miserable. I learned that somebody I didn't know 6 months ago can be someone I miss talking to even when I miss talking to them for one night. I have learned that there are people out there who are more than generous with their time and passions, including many on this board. I have learned a lot and have secured rides in more Ferraris in the past few months than in the 2-3 years which preceeded them. I have made many new friends on this board and look forward to making many more. I have learned that if you don't succeed, you pick yourself up, register with another username and have a moderator ban you permanently. Which of course leads to countless hours of amusement for the rest of us. So to all of those of you who have contributed your time, passion and effort, sincerest thanks. To those of you who have had a less than pleasant 2005, may your 2006 be full of happiness and prosperity. And for those of you whose 2005 was more positive, I hope 2006 works out the same for you. Thank you FerrariChat for helping to make my 2005 a more enjoyable one. edit - And most importantly, I learned that you probably shouldn't talk on your cellphone in a public washroom - http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87703
