Honolulu fish wrapper ran this add: '83 308GTSI, 32valve, twin turbo excl cond, red w/tan $35,000. Twin Turbo ??? yes? no? BS? "The 308 series also spawned some competition development using the model as a base. A brutal 308 based twin-turbo model was developed by Carlo Facetti to contest the 1980 World Endurance Championship. He called it the Carma FF 308 and while blindingly fast it suffered from reliability problems and the project was soon abandoned." Kinda makes ya wonder WTF? Anybody know if there was a production Twin Turbo 308 built in 83?
No production 308 with twin turbo made by Ferrari. Carlo Facetti`s racecar was single turbo and fully own development based upon a 308 built accordingly the Gr.5 specification : sport cars made as single prototype.
Agree, the 308 engine was fitted with 2 K27 Turbochargers and had 950HP @ 9000 RPM peek power. As excuse for the mistake will post a picture of the car and the engine later on.

I'd be a bit wary of this one. I've been going to Honolulu on a semi-regular basis for 5 years. This ad has been in the local paper the entire time! Years! I've called about the car on several occasions and never received a response. I'm not claiming the car doesn't exist, but something smells "fishy". On the other hand, Norwoods has modded may 308's with twin turbo's. In fact, James Patterson recently finished a bolt on kit for the 308. I understand it is quite refined.
I own a 83 QV 308TT. The kit was sold by a company called "Prancing Horse Turbo" in the mid 80's, early 90's. They are long ago extinct. I don't know what the production numbers are...not many were sold .. but I do see them advertised from time to time here and there. The car is very fast ... makes about 350 hp. with twin IHI turbos. I've owned 4 308's ... two carbed ones, one 84 Euro, and this one. Also 2 400's and a 355B. No contest which one is the best....er...fastest. (at least in a straight line...The 355 has much better brakes and handles A LOT better) I've kept this car for about 12 years now...pretty much a record for me...I really do like it.
