Does anyone have pictures of a 308 GT4 w/ 14" wheels and [short] competition tires? I've been finding that the performance tires for 14" wheels end up being 2" shorter overall from stock wheels and tires.

I just want to find out how it would look before trying to judge if the weight benefit of 14" wheels and tires is worth it or not.

I didnt realize the NART car ran 14" rims. Do you happen to know what size tires they ran or where I could find such information?

    Thanks again - Chris

Based upon the FIA homologation fiche of the GT4 , the base rims were 14"x6.5". The GT4 LM # 08020 in its racing configuration entered Le Mans 1974 with 8.5" Speedline rims on the front , 10.5" on the rear and Good Year tires ( J.P Gabriel book ). Do not know whether or not the pictured car has same wheel set-up as the tires are at least different (AVON ) but in the spirit of the historic racing should be so.
    Cheers

That looks like #08020 and if so, that car was homolgated with 15" wheels. They look like 15's to me in any case.

I can't help with a GT/4, but I have a pic of my 308 GTB running 225/60-14 Yokohama A-008RS tyres. I can dig it out of you wish and scan it.

    Regards,

    Carl.

Thanks guys, I do appreciate the shots. I'm going to photoshop a picture or two to see what it would look like.
