Me too, gorgous. Steve, nice job cleaning it up. So it wasn't flooded, just dirty? Must have never been cleaned in its entire life before your ownership!! Nice to see what some care and price will do, eh? Jason, thanks for the compliment. Yes, I have been busy. Added Larini sport cats(posted a thread about it) which give great raw sound and lots of extra low end to the engine, plus better response. Right now I am running with Capistro 3 but am about to remove and go back to Fuchs. The car sounds completely awesome, but its just too loud. I have to crawl around the neighborhood and once out on the road, under full throttle the shriek is audible for a very very long distance. The other day I made a high speed ocean run north and on my way back, about 20 minutes later there was a crowd of about 8 people, from a nearby campground, waiting beside the fenced straigthaway. They could hear me coming back for, I bet, 5 minutes!!
sorry, but to ME, the new "sanitized" engine bays are boring. I love those old carby boxers. Then of course, this one pulls my heart strings......... Image Unavailable, Please Login

All your engines look pristine, how do you do it? I have an f360 and need to clean the engine, on all my cars up to date I have had no problem with using engine cleaner or similar and then hosing off and drying with compressed air or leaf blower followed by a short run. Can I do the same or will I cause problems with the electrics etc? Russell
On the topic of cleaning engines, has anyone ever used one of those steamer kits? They look convincing. -Nathan
Never let them get too dirty in the first place. I usually clean the engine every couple of drives. I use CT18, degreaser and elbow grease. I do NOT use high pressure cleaners as you are asking for trouble. Make sure you drive it for a bit after washing, as there is nothing worse than putting a car away wet. Hey Mike, Nice clean Ferrari! I still remember your NSX Chromatose (sp?). I also have a white 93 nsx but I track it and autocross it. Just did an autocross at Marina today in it which was a blast before New Years.
