'06 Z06 vs. '03 Viper SRT-10 vs. '04 H/C Z06 vs. '03 KB Mach 1

I was the cameraman in the C6 Z06. Both the C6 Z06 and the Viper are bone stock. As you will see at the end of the video, even with the Vette starting in the wrong gear (3rd, as opposed to 2nd, from a 70 roll) the Vette still puts quite a hurting on the Viper. ~122mph trap for the Viper compared with ~127 for the Vette is a substantial difference that is most evident from a roll.

Nice vids....stock Vipers don't impress me. I have about 400 rwhp in my LS1 and I walk my freinds '03 all the time. Pisses the hell out of him lol.

 

So you had to add over 100RWHP to keep up with a stock Viper and thats not impressive on the Vipers part?

Not only that, but said Viper will work your car over hard on a roadcourse, autoX, in resale, warranty, looks, etc, etc. Not to mention the Vipers can be modded to 750hp without much trouble. Good luck getting that out of an LS1 without massive mods.

 

For the $$, the Mustang is pretty impressive.

Not for 75 grand it's not....and my point was less can beat more sometimes, that's all.

Guess you never heard of Lingenfelter, or Mallet, or MTI....they have LS1's making over 750 rwhp....with mods no more "massive" then a Vipers. Plus the Viper starts with 8.0 liters to the LS1s 5.7.

Also who said I added 100 rwhp? My car dynoed stock at 325. I have just bolt-ons as of now...And my suspension isn't stock either, I actually SCCA road race it and beat cars that cost 4x as much. Including Vipers. I wanted a RWD car with V8 torque that was easy to mod and not to expensive, there aren't many choices. And I didn't want a Mustang. I'm happy with my car. The Vipers warranty is the same as well, and if your modding it is useless anyway. Looks are a matter of opinion as well, I happen to like my cars looks. I don't like the new Viper at all, I prefer the old one....and that's my opinion.
