    I do like LeMans and Grand Prix very much. They are about as good as you can get, in the way of racing films, in particular, the camera work in GP.

    There was also an interesting series aired on the BBC a number of years back, called Driving Ambition. It was about a housewife that was bitten by the racing bug, had a Mini race-prepped and then began in competition. It was pretty good. Is spite of being serialized.

    Some guy claims to have an "all code" DVD of "Grand Prix" (James Garner, et al) on eBay RIGHT NOW. Probably a bootleg made off of VHS or TV, but, who knows?
