Hello, I would like to go to Monaco for the GP around 4-5 days. Anybody have any tips advice? I found one package for around 3500$ that included hotel, terrace viewing of the GP and transfers.
    Anybody has any good advice?

    Thanks

    Niko

I haven't been there but I would bring along a tripod for the video camera and another one for the digi cam.

I've been to Monaco but not to the grand prix. The rooms at a real nice place not during the race are 1500/nite. The $3500 price seems good to me. I saw take it and run. There, now you have someone to fight with.

My wife and I went to the Monaco GP about 4 years ago... on frequent flyer tickets. It's unbelievable. Our original reservations were booked with GP Tours (or something like that) but they cancelled our reservations at the last minute - said it was "overbooked". I was not happy... and bummed to say the least as we were booked at a very nice Monaco hotel. Since we already had airfare, we made hotel reservations in Nice which is a 20 minute drive from Monaco and just went for it.

Bottom line, we bought tickets from a scalper (below face value), saved at least $1000 or more overall and had a great time... probabaly more fun than the tour trip.

We got there early and parked underground at the casino and it worked out great. If you can stay in Monaco, it's the best. But you CAN do the GP on a budget by staying in Nice an taking the 20 minute "commute". Either way, go and enjoy the experience.

Use the SEARCH feature on F-Chat for more info... lots of people have made the trip to the GP.

I will be staying in Nice. Monaco is already booked for good rooms. It's either camping or 10K a night suite.

What is the best place to watch the GP?
