   I just got the same thing for Xmas. But, I wound up paying only $140 after rebates/promotions. The key was to keep calling DirecTV back until I got a rep who would give me what I asked for.
   
   My final deal was: $499 - $200 rebate - $100 instant credit - $60 in free HBO for 6 months.
