And that turns out to be the same range as from the bottom estimate for the RM car to the price for Sheehan's.

Read the history section on this car. It nicely illustrates the 'changeable' nature of the Ferrari (or any other) collectable world - including getting its color changed, undergoing about 3 restorations in its life, and experiencing the '89 bubble', and the depths of the mid-late '90's.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying s/n 7359, a 1966 275 GTS that belonged to Raquel Welch, which sold at the 2003 Halloween Mecum auction for $119,000. That was just over two years ago, and the dash needed some help, but $119,000 for a 275 GTS looks like a steal now.

The car Sheehan's got is more than a little pimped-out for my taste.

I remember that one...in retrospect, a deal. The 275 is my favorite '60s Ferrari spyder.

I aloso remember a very nice Lusso driver that Sheehan had up for around $120K, mid 2002. It took him awhile to sell it. That was the time for the home-equity loan!

Indeed. And it lost its original Telaio plate somewhere along the way. I guess that's part of the definition of "Restored to Touring Standard".
