    People always post these things like it "Written in Stone". Is this really a car??

    Looks like a Ford GT. Probably is one.

    That is just a design study.
    IMHO I give it a B or B-, it doesn't look as sexy as the Miura (plus: the chrome wheels suck)

    I like it but I’m not too fond of the wheels. I like the modern wheels on Lamborghini’s.

    I like the look. (not the wheels) I'm not however, sold on the actual production of it. The Miura was the first car that many would consider an exotic. Then it was REPLACED by the Countach and so on.... If Lamborghini were to produce this beauty, it would have to be A.) Really fast (225+mph) and B.) VERY rare (extremely low production-around 250) and C.) Priced close to $1mill. I think if Lamborghini were to bring the name back, it should be as a tribute, not a full on production car like the Gallardo and Murci.

    This version looks a bit better than the other Miura concept photos I've seen, there is another version with the Murciélago style headlights that make the whole project look horrible. But like everyone else here, I agree the revamped Miura needs to be left alone.

    SWING.... and a miss.

    The roof line is way too high and the windshield at too steep a rake angle. The roof should be lower, windshield flatter, front fenders more rounded over the wheels and then dipping a bit behind.

    I like the idea of a modern interpretation of a Muira, hopefully with Murci power, but this particular concept just aint it.

    Like some others I feel they should leave the "Miura" name alone and use some other name for their new cars. The Miura as we all know it is a wonderful piece of automotive history and brings to mind certain images and feelings. I feel we should not "molest" these things and leave them be. Lets not water down the name and image of this wonderful car. Certainly they can come up with other names and not have to use the Miura name and image to sell new cars. There is only one Miura and it should always be that way, IMO!

    Although I like these photos a lot more than any other Miura pics I've seen, I have very mixed feeling about Lambo going the retro route. I think it can either be a huge success, or a huge failue - nothing in between.

    People look at Lambos as being cars ahead of their time - going retro should be left to the likes of more mainstream, everyday cars, IMO.

    It looks like a cross between a Ford Probe, and a Lotus Elise. That and all this retro crap is starting to get "OLD". I don't like it.

    What if Lamborghini were to go ultra retro....

    Remake the car exactly (for the most part) like it was. Made by hand the old way with great fit and finish, modern electricals and internal engine/tranny components for durability and performance....

    Would you buy it?

    It would cost $1M or more if made the old way. Besides, where would you find the craftsmen to build it in the volumes you would need to sell in that manner?

    Italy and Germany alone would have enough craftsmen. I'm not talking about a huge production run. Maybe something around 100 or so. I think it would be possible. Surely there would be 100 people that would pay a lot of money for a car that was hand built from the factory. Of course Audi may be more concerned with profit rather than resurrecting a legend, so such a limited production run would not make economic sense to Audi. Plus, I'm not so sure that the cost to build would as expensive as one might think.

    I guess I thought it would be better to make it again rather than wasting money on R&D for a Ford GT lookalike.

    Ford GT, imo

    Let the legend rest in peace. Recapture the essence of the car and apply that to a modern design. Retro is for compaines with no vision. I think higher of Lambo than that.

    where's the supposed ENZO KILLER?!?!?
    next up;
    ferrari shock the world with the launch of the incredible "testarossa" concept;
    only to be outdone by porsche's superb "911" and aston martin's amazing
    "lagonda rapide".what the hell?
    by the looks of it,porsche NEVER left the 60's,ferrari are out of design ideas,
    lamborghini are keeping porsche company and aston martin re-styles the rx-8
    and names it after some clunker...i meant classic!

    BERTONE!we NEEEEEEEEED you!

    p.s if this retro thing continues our kids will be driving cadillac cimarrons!
