It is my understanding that car was originally red and was repainted after the sale. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

This information pertains to cars that rolled out of the factory, pre-ordered in these colors... The original 349. Maybe another day, I could mention all of the "aftermarket" colors F50s have seen - along with the 50-or-so F50s that were made after the original 349...!

6 Rosso Barchetta?! Ive never even see 1 picture of a Barchetta F50.... Anyone care to post a picture of a Rosso Barchetta F50? Would love to see this.

 

I knew there were more F50's made after the 349 orignal cars, but as many as 50!? Pretty interesting... Please do tell more

 

I think the one that raced in the UK (103496) was Rosso Barchetta. If I am right, here are some pics:

There are at least 380 F50s - not including the three F50 GT1s, so that makes it at least 383... Of these extras, at least 22 were made after S/N 107240, which is #349 of 349...

Thanks Peleton i had all the pictures saved on my computer but i had comepletly forgotten abuot this F50! Thanks for clearing it up.

 

even 22 is a large number, i thought it would more along the lines of 5-10 max! Where these cars sold to customers? or where there a special purpose for these cars or what?

 

No, the azzurro california one was not red before. It was repainted red LATER.

I understand that the ORIGINAL (first) color was azzurro california. I have seen pictures of this car at the factory in Maranello in azzurro california. Suggest you ask Giuseppe Risi of Ferrari of Houston.

Maybe the informations I read over the years about this F50 were incorrect.
Lets see those pics at the factory.

Thanks for the info!! I have seen 9 red F50s so far but I know there is a black one in Greenwich CT that I am still waiting to see.

 

Already knew it F50's are my life.
Black is the most beautiful color on them

 

Love to know how the other ones were made, sorry if this is a dumb question. Being that every book ever made states 349, i would love to know how almost 20 more were made without being spoken of.
