Sunday Morning Early Risers Run 1/8

Sorry for the short notice but I figured that since the weather report looks good, we're all in need of some seat time, and Vik needs to drive that new Gallardo that a run was appropriate.

It will be very casual and mainly consist of a drive here in Northern NJ and some breakfast either at my home or locally. Figure start time of 8:30am or thereabouts...

Ho Ho Kus NJ is the spot and we're right off of Rt 17, the GSP or 287 (well kinda).

This will be a "casual" run with some backroads through Saddle River and some highway. Nothing crazy but certainly a good time with breakfast afterwards...

I'm thinking we meet at a given location, drive a bit and then head to my place for some eats.

 

I can tell you down to the minute since I went to Rutgers.

At that time in the AM it will take you 40 minutes at a decent pace. It's a straight shot. You should definitely be home by noon if you break off by just before 11am or so.

 

This is turning out to be a great group so I'm going to head out now and plot out some ground for us here in NJ/NY.

The Palisades is a good spot but we have to keep the five-oh in mind on that stretch of roadway. This time of year should be cool though and would make for a good starting point.

I suggest we use the parking lot at the Assembly Steak House (495 Sylvan Ave. Englewood Cliffs , NJ) as a meeting point since it's just off the Palisades at Exit 1 and won't draw attention to us at the rest stop.

From there we'll head North and then West towards my neck of the woods. I'll follow up with you all here later today but so far so good.

I hear ya John...this is the early crew though and in order to have the roads open and not full of Church goin Mini-Vans we get going early.

In all honesty 8:30am is actually later than usual for us.

I also though Bill Hart might want to join us. Maybe everyone is out and about like most normal folks on a Saturday afternoon.

It's an easy place to find and has a large open lot right off 9W & the Palisades Pkwy. (Exit 1).
