Iso S4/Fidia :)
Now we are getting into 2 + 2s as oppsed to 4 door sedans. That opens it up to alot of cars that are really interesting. My Khamsin has a rear seat but is hardly useable. The best cars of this type that could actually hold people in the rear would be a Ferrari 365/400/412 or the Lamborghini Espada. There is also the much forgetten about Lamborghini Islero & Jarama. The Islero is more of a cross between a Ferrari Daytona & a Maserati Ghibli. Joe Khamsin #1226 Islero #6243 Bora #1046 Mondial Cab # 49713 Laforza # 159
Hmmmmmmm. . . Maserati Sebring Espada Iso Grifo 330 Gt 2+2 / 250gte / etc Fiat 2300s 308gt4 456gt Alfa 2600 Alfa GTV 2.6 Fiat 124 Sport Coupe
Fiat 131 (my first car) Fiat Strada (Fuel Injected version-my second car and incredibly reliable. Rusted away around me but engine/tranny were bullet-proof) Alfa Milano (my current car-last of the real Alfas) Seriously: Ferrari: 12 cylinder: 456 8 cylinder: 308GT4 Maserarti: Current QP Indy Lambo: 8 cylinder; Urraco 3.0 12 cylinder: Espada Alfa: GTV Coupes 164Q AWD Just my 2 cents...... Come spring I would love to pick up either a 1977 308GT4 (Series 2) or a 86-88 3.2 Mondial.
That's either redundant or multiplicative in which case your talking about 16 doors which is a stretch limo of some sort. If, you're refering to Maseratis then there are 5 to chose from although the series II was more of a curiosity than a real production car.
Having owned a Ferrari 456 and now a Maserati GranSport, I can honestly say tha the GranSport not only is the MUCH better of the two to drive and enjoy, but that my 4 year old (as well as my Wife) fit much better in the GranSport. The Maserati benefits from more room, better electronics, a more interesting cabin and a heck of a lot better powertrain. The GS is hands-down the most fun to drive on short, twisty roads or long straight lines. It's a heck of a car for not a lot of cash. M
Great topic. Put me down for the Alfa 164. It is a beautiful car in my opinion. I know it gets a knock because it is front wheel drive, but I saw a Lexus commercial over the holidays praising the superior handling (on ice no less) of their front wheel drive mid-level Camry based model. I believe it was the 300 or 320 or something like that. Also, Acura sells a tremendous amount of front wheel drive cars including the one based upon the Accord. Yes, front wheel drive may not be ideal but it does have some benefits. Cheers, Jeff Dallas, Texas 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 LS 1977 Fiat 124 spider
That's easy.....the Alfa Romeo Giulia Super. Alfa's original sport sedan. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Could be nothing else but my late Alfa Romeo 90 3.0 QO. Fortunately I do have the terrific 3.0 QV engine left. Did about 250.000km with it in 9 years. Has been on Zandvoort, Nordschleiffe, Le Mans, Monaco etc. Still miss it to drive and I am sure I will buy a 90 again someday. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm a die hard 164 fan I've got a 164Q, but second I'd say is the Lancia Thema 8.32 It's a series 4 chassis (Alfa 164, Fiat Chorma, Lancai Thema, Saab 9000) with a Ferrari 3.2l V8 and yes it's fwd.
I agree 100% with Anthony - while virtually any ALFA gets me worked up, the Super and TI Super are incredible machines. With that little 1.6 liter engine breathing through two 40 or 45 DCOE Webers, and a silky smooth 5-speed, I know of no contempoary sedan, Italian or otherwise, that could even come close to thier performance potential. There is a new KING of the 4 seater http://autoblog.com/2006/01/04/aston-martin-rapide-more-pics-and-info-from-top-gear/ Thats the first 4 seater I would take over a bentley GT.
maserati mexico, de tomaso longchamps, thema 8.32,... concerning 4 seaters, the lancia gamma coupe is a massively underrated car imo
