Since the 355 wheels look so similar to the 512TR wheel, and 512TR wheels are hard to find, does anyone know if 355 wheels will bolt up to a TR without any offset issues? I've found several sets for sale recently.

I would think so. After all you can bolt 512tr rims to a 355, so why not the other way around. If I'm not mistaken the bolt patern for almost all Ferrari's is the same. You can put 348 rims on a Modial, or 360 rims on a 308, or 575 rims on a 456. The only problem would be proper wheel off set and the correct bolt length. Other than that I think they should bolt right up.

A fellow CorvetteForum.com member who is also an FChatter bolted stock 360 wheels on his TR, so I can't imagine 355s would be a problem.

    GrandSportC3 is his name.

They will but you need to add spacers to maintain the off set I believe it is 22mm front and 13mm rear there is a post about two months ago on the subject.

Thank You Martin that is great information. I will do a search and try to find that thread. I'm thinking that my search for 512TR wheels isn't gonna be worth the trouble, prices are just too high for me to justify it.

After a search I found Paul Hill's response to spacers needed for 355 wheels on a late TR. The fronts need 13mm and the rears 18mm. Now if I could find someone looking to trade 355 wheels for the 360 wheels I have now....that would be perfect.

Thats where I arrived at on my TR I ended up buying a set of the High Line Wheels off Ebay the Speedline bstyle and put those on with new tires the price was such that if I had not liked them I could go back to the originals I also went to 18" wheels the car looks a lot better.
