FOW made me a front plate bracket for my 328 that puts the VA tag where the euro would go. Yes, the bigger US tag brushes the ground on the speed tables and in some parking garages and the plate is now sitting at about a 35 degree angle off the vertical.

So it does have a use this way -- it's the low point of the car, and hearing the plate scrape warns me that I'm reaching the limits of my ground clearance. ;)

Chris the plate is not below the air dam. If you look close you'll see that if I hit the plate I'll take out the lower rad. mount. I've never bottomed out with the plate. Enjoy the ride

Won't work in Oregon, in fact, it INCREASES your chances of getting pulled over as it becomes very obvious. Out of sight, out of mind is better than in your face, copper! ;) Anyway, it's still a violation if it's in the windshield.

I am using a modified tow bolt that I have attached my plate to. It simply screws into the factory tow bolt hole just below the front grill. The plate is mounted on a factory plate holder with rubber pads stuck on the four corners so that it doesn't rub the bumper and spoiler lip. A couple of small screws hold the plate onto the modified tow bolt. No modifications to the car at all. Easy on and off. Doesn't block the front grill or hide the little horsie.

    Hey Rijk,

What did you do for the front plate on the 456? I just got the plates from NJ and (duh) couldn't find a place to attach the front plate. Did you use plastic straps or hose clamps?

BTW, I love the car. Thanks for taking such good care of it. I hope you are enjoying your Spider.
