Anyone in BC have a reference for an import broker for a 15 year old car?
Car is USA legal, needs couple of small things to conform; I need a broker to do paperwork and temp insurance for my buyer......
Car is visiting in BC now.

    TIA,
    James

Why do you need a broker? All you need is someone who has imported a car before and a mobile insurance agent. Please email me if you have any questions [email protected]

Here are some Mobile insurance agents

you do not need a broker... just search for the registrar of imported vehicle government of canada site... follow directions and it's a done deal... I did it myself with no hassle at all

BTW the car will have to return to the US Customs office at a border crossing to have the serial number physically checked against the title crossing and the appointment has to be made 2 weeks in advance of arriving at the border. I just noticed you saying the car was in BC already.

It is currently 72 hrs notice. Working days for commercial.

Just did a search and noticed that 00-and on 360's can be imported into Canada, once again!---

For those of you who have been following this, they were allowed, and then not, (only 02 and on), and now, it looks like they're allowed again...any ideas why?...and why not '99's?

Maybe they found a whole pile of Canadian-spec bumpers in a factory warehouse somewhere, so now the cars can be admitted and converted... I'm just guessing but ya never know!

As for '99's, there may be other issues, like, maybe something to do with the daytime-running-lights, or seatbelts, or...

Hey guys, looking for any Canucks who have recently brought up a 360 Spider.

If any of you have recently done this, please drop me a line or pm. I have a couple questions.

    Thanks.

.....I missed your post at the time!

Our stable has just grown: a totally original 1956 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Station Wagon (Hemi-powered of course!). Not a Ferrari, but a very cool "land yacht". Look for it around the Sheraton!

    ada?

I looked on the RIV site, and noticed that it just says to contact a Ferrari dealer....Has anyone imported one here, and do you know what I am looking at in terms of which parts are needed, their cost and the labour?

    Thanks in advance

Do a search on the site for more info. It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to import a Ferrari less than 15 years old...MOST of them are not even eligible anymore due to Transport Canada. The few that are eligible need at least $20K in parts that the Ferrari Canada dealers ironically have on "permanent backorder"!

really?...I thought that people were doing it...I contacted a Ferrari dealer here, and they said that it only required a cluster change, and daytime running lights.

I'm wondering if you could just put km/h stickers on the speedo until you got it inspected, and then remove them afterwards...(so that the car stays as original as possible--not to mention saving$$ on the new cluster AND people wondering if you messed with the mileage and that's why you have a new cluster)

Have you guys noticed that the Ferrari’s no longer have the double asterisks (**), or an arrow (>)? So does this mean that they no longer need modifications to the bumper(s) and child tether anchorage? If this is the case it would make importation a lot easier.

....also, wondering if anyone has ever imported from the US, a Euro car (that is now imported into the US...and legally allowed to be registered there)?..Does importing one of those into Canada work the same as importing one that was originally a US car?
