It's because when you ask in person, at places like the dentist, it's not pertaining to money. It's just conversation.

Don't buy a business back for 500K that made you 20K a year. Bad investment. If I invest 500K the business better make me 150K/year minimum. Keep the mill. Good deal for you.

Not really inquiring about money, one can always assume about the amount of money another makes by their job title, but it is not like you're giving out your account information.

I have a great job. I'm what they call a "supervisor". I have a clipboard and I walk around all day and point at things. I'm not really sure yet what the clipboard is for. They also gave me a hard hat with my name on it! So everyone knows that it is MY hardhat!

Alright, I'm just a kid (16yrs old) and I'm sure all of you guys are older, and most(some) own italian sports cars.

My dad currently owns a few sports cars, but there not new. We've got a 1980 Ferrari 308 GT4 2+2, 2 Porsche 911's (1970-80) and that's it. We're pretty experienced in racing/automotives as I've been racing go-karts and formula bmw for quite some time now.

Anyways, aside from my life. Some of you own very expensive cars and I'd like to own a Ferrari or any other italian/european sports car in the future, but right now I'm just a kid with no job but a website.

I guess this might be considered as maybe a business/earnings question but was it hard for you to make this kind of money and spend it on a car? You must all be very wealthy.

In the future, I'd like to work at a dealership and then later on (hopefully) start up a dealership selling european exotic cars like my dads cousin.

Just a bit about myself and a question how I can own such a beautiful car like you guys...

So, basically, you ask the worst possible question to ask on this forum, say things like "you must all be very wealth," and don't even bother searching for the thousands of threads on this very topic? Good plan.

Calm down man, don't get so upset about nothing. I can see the lack of maturity of you seeing as your a student and not a european car owner. Just chill man.

I remember being about 13 to 15 years old and wondering the same thing. Not too long after that the poster came out that everyone my age had hanging in their room. It was a picture of a 5 car garage in LA with Ferrari's and Lamborghini's and other exotic cars and the poster said something about "the payoff for a higher education".

Just keep wishing and dreaming and when you are out of college and have all of your essential things paid for you can start acquiring some toys.

Set a goal and work towards it, thats all you have to do. Depends on how bad you want anything in life, if you try you will most likely get what you want as long as your goals are realistic. Rather than blowing all of your cash on beer and drugs like some goofy teens I know, get a good good education and a good job, the rest will fall into place. Me? I have grade 12 and Im a mechanic at a dealer, I worked (and work) hard, made some good choices, flipped some cars and then houses to get what I have. Good luck and you dont need to be wealthy to own a ferrari or any other italian exotic, if you can fix it yourself you can aim higher because the service costs are the killer. A TR is a perfect example of an inexpensive ferrari to buy but devastating to maintain at times as is a boxer.

If you do not have your own inheirited wealth you need to find someone that does. Or get involved with a very rich divorcee that did all the advance leg work for you. Well, you get the point.

See, life really can be that simple. The other option would be to do what most others end up with. Earn it, sweet and simple. There really aren't a whole lot of choices.

I don't mean to seem sarcastic, just truthfull.

Work hard in school - develop a solid work ethic. That will carry over into college and your jobs/internships you'll get. Stay focused, set a goal, and make it happen. Learn to save - don't spend frivilously (*too* often!), and you'll find that you'll have your Ferrari sooner than you think.

You know what? You are the one who needs to chill. Don't come in here with some F-ed up attitude after asking a stupid question without searching!

How many times this happened... A guy started a thread then someone turn him off by telling him to go search... I don't see anything wrong with starting a thread that other people had discussed about it in the past beside those aren't my threads. Topic could be the same, but details and time is different. It's a personal thing. And search sometimes don't work...

Welcome to F-Chat, BiRel41r. There is protocol for your question. You probably should have posted this in the Business & Investments section, below, under OffTopic. A Moderator will, in all likelihood, move it there soon enough.
Once there, you will see some 'Stickies,' one of which says something like, "If you are posting to ask- Gee how did you guys afford to buy these cars?: Here are some tips." You might want to read that. Then, if you still think you have a question about this topic, you are on your own.

Had he searched, he would have seen that this thread typically doesn't get a very good reception.
