Chalk it up to great publicity for our fellow F-Chat member. Thats awesome. Rob, you better release the frickin thing while people are talking and the segment is fresh.

"...and a NJ man is trying to cash in on this type of dangerous behavior"

DAMN STRAIGHT, BABY! I havent read any articles on Phillip Morris or F. Ross Johnson under the spotlight for RAKING in untold BILLIONS by killing people through out the world for decades.

On my way home from work, I caught a little of the "Radio Chick" show. She was clearly talking about Rob. One caller even mentioned that a Lamborghini fan had been banned from several automotive websites for his behavior. Who could that be? LOL.

I'm not so sure this is a good thing for the average NYC sportscar owner, especially if you do anything in or around the city with a few cars. We love to hit up Times Square and shut down one or two lanes while we snap some pictures. Hell, we've hit up a bunch of spots for fun, and even flown up and down the WSH. All good fun and totally safe. Since we have a few NYPD, staties, and FDNY, generally we've been able to talk ourselves out of ANY tickets. Since the Inside Edition story has aired many of us have noted an increased police involvement when driving. Coincidence? Perhaps. Holiday Season? Perhaps, again. However, what is of note, is the attitude that the cops now show. If this whole idea perpetuates that some underground "racing scene" exists with high-end cars and super-rich owners, I can almost promise that the police will no longer be so forgiving. I would expect the whole front plate, tint, exhaust, etc bs to not be looked the other way, and for the cops to crack down on sportscar owners.

Look I wish the best Rob, and I hope that if Noah and Emil are involved in this financially, they can make a nice crisp buck off of this. However, I am a little annoyed that what was in the past somewhat of a hidden fun thing is now being advertised and portrayed as something it's not. While certainly these newscasts may improve sales, they certainly won't earn any warm feelings in the hearts of local legislators and police.

At this point, I am fairly certain that the NYPD Highway Units, Mid-Town South Precint, and probablly auto-crime are aware of this video. If not in an official capacity, then the individual officers have most likely heard about it. So at the least they will form preconcieved notions, and at the worst they will have some official edict in regard to this. I guess the one thing that we all have going is that it is the dead of winter and not spring.

    I guess time will tell.

nabbs your paranoia is getting the best of you, this is the 3rd board that i am aware of that you are posting on about this, get a life. I have friends in most local and state PDs in ny nj and ct. There has been no change in police presence and there has been no task force or even bulletins passed to any highway units. Stop speeding and you'll be just fine, if anyone should have something to worry about it should be the guy with the student driver sticker prominently displayed on his bumper. Yet I am not losing any sleep.

NYPD has more important and more dangerous things to worry about in my opinion. There are people with chainsaws!! ..And they're going to harrass anyone in a sports car? No way. If they see a Toyota Camry or a Lamborghini Diablo doing a buck ten on the west side highway, they're going to pull you over. If youre driving "normal" with the flow, youll be fine. I have to side with Rob on this one. It wasnt a huge media blitz.

    Hey Rob,
I was actually going to call Sun night to let you know Fox was running a segement on it because they mentioned the NYPD. Could not find your number, but the segment turned out to be crap as I am sure you know (which is probably good). Did you authorize them to only show certain segements of the vid? If not, I would have thought that the 200mph thing would have been the lead in. I guess if you are not in cuffs yet for doing doughnuts in the middle of a city street you have nothing to worry about.
