i don't think that the issue. after schumi wrapped up the title in '04, rubens exploded and took the italian as well as the chinese gp flags. i remember the chinese race. he totally outclassed the field. i think he gave a preview what happens if he was free to race MS.

I think McLaren could have won the constructors championship if JPM didn’t hit as many people.

Or if they could make car that Kimi can't blow up. JPM got hit from behind a couple of times, as much as everyone blamed him, the driver behind is at fault too. Didn't he get Pizzonia'd once too?

These discussions are always fun. IMO, IYO, whatever, it's interesting to discuss and throw out opinions.

IMO Montoya is a talented but undisciplined driver. One cannot ignore the myriad "incidents" he has been a party to. Kimi is more consistent, and just as fast. Alonso is also fast, and smart enough to know when to push the envelope. The right driver won the WDC this year. He may not have been fastest every weekend, but he was consistently fast, and that's what counts for championships.

For JPM to be faster than Kimi, Kimi has to be drunk, which apparently has happened!
