I'd say going to Jost Van Dyke in the BVI's just to travel through their waters. I could have by-passed the paperwork and been a pirate and saved 30min going into port..... AAaaaarrrrrrrrr.

In Zermatt, Switzerland you can ski into Italy (well ski to the barracade that allows you to gondola into Italy). I purposely turned left into the 10 feet of Italy before the barracks to avoid a few of our training sessions.

Stayed about an hour. Had some bread and milky way/ nuttella and took the T-Bar back just in time to head back down to the bottom for lunch and the afternoon hike.

Stayed 24 hours in Japan on a mileage run once.............I got 13,300 FF miles in 72 hours for $700 return (I needed another 10K miles to hit Premex status on UAL).....it was one of those internet glitch tickets you hear about.

Went to Zambia (in sub Saharan Africa to visit family) crossed the border into Zimbabwe near Victoria Falls....went over cause of all the turmoil going on everything was cheap...the $200 million dollar hotel casino was empty, the sobek tours were completely dead, even the elephants looked kind of skinny....we where the only ones at the resort....couldn't mention we were from the otherside cause they would hike up the price of everything if they knew we crossed over.......had to be very careful lot of looting and robbing going on.....

Left Interlaken Switzerland with no destination in sight. Stopped for gas in Zurich and met a couple from my hometown and actually from my own neighborhood. They suggested we go to Liechtenstein to check it out. So, now we had a destination. On our way there, we decided to head up to Germany for lunch, so we went to Lake Constance and had lunch there. We then decided to see how many countries we could hit in one day. 11 o'clock that night, we ended up in Milan. 5 Total Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Italy.

    WARDHOG........

    I am totally speechless.......LOL !!!! Gack......

    Sethmac86.......

From 1999-2003 I used to fly a lot (100K miles a year) and became very adept at exploiting the airlines for FF miles to reach and maintain top tier status in their FF programs. I was a "Premex" on UAL and "Elite" on AC at the same time for example. Used to go between Rio de Janeiro and Calgary 6 times a year, as well as other flights.......spent countless hours on FF bulletin boards talking to other top tier fliers as well as airline staff learning the ropes and exchanging tips.

Part of the chase for miles was working over the various member airlines online booking programs for flight combinations that yielded the maximum mileage for the minimum dollar, with the least amount of actual flight time. The things you do when you are bored eh ?

This is how you come up with a "mileage run". On a very rare occasion glitches in the system allow you to actually reserve and book a ticket that is either is too damn cheap or violates the rules thay have set for minimum/maximum stays and time of transfer in various airports. Usually these windows stay open only minutes or an hour before the airlines figure it out and change things online. It usually gets sold out because other FF'ers talk to each other on BB's and everyone who can buys the ticket and then we go and have a party in the destination city with the best layover time.

Years ago I knew an Irish girl who was a photographer. She had done some work for Ireland’s national airline and they had paid her with air miles - sort of. To be more exact she could use X pounds worth of flight tickets before December 31.
Her problem was that thanks to work she was booked. She didn’t have the time to go and stay anywhere and the year end was fast approaching.

    Enter my solution:

I said that if she provided the morning magic carpet to Paris I would take her to Maximes for lunch; we would then hot-foot it back to Dublin so that she could go to work that evening.

Bottom line: I flew to France for lunch.

    It was great!!

Not so much anymore. I was there yesterday in the new AA terminal. very nice and clean. Not much to do and it's A LONG WALK from security to the gates but the new terminal is kinda nice. I'm not saying I would like to build a summer home there but it is actually quite lovely.

It looks like they are doing a lot of construction there.
What they need now is wireless access in the terminal

I love CDG. It's very nice when you have a police escort to get through the building. No waiting.

Stupidest Reason for entering a (this) Country? Saying that you came here from, lets say,the Middle east,to "Be an American". Yet, still wearing the traditional garb from your homeland. Still acting as if you've never left your homeland. Even after being here for Years. Sounds awfully suspicious to me.......just my .02c

Second stupid reason. Coming here for a great Education, probably courtesy of the Tax Dollars of the American People, then going back and saying that America sucks.
