I like Hawtorn myself. I do not have any of Peter Collins. I do have some interesting photos of the Monza/Indianapolis race in Monza 1959. Many of my action shots are blured so I don't post them. Try to show the best ones. Image Unavailable, Please Login

David could you give me permission to use the 1960 Spa picture on my site www.sharknose.net on the Gendebien GP section ?
Here are some of my father's friends. The year is 1957. Cheers, Julio Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is a group from LeMans in 1962. The GTOs are 3705 & 3765. 3765 is the 4 litre car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
#18 is S/N 1931, which was owned and raced in the 70s by Leo Keating and maintained by Art Bly. I drove that car a number of times, what a magnificent piece.
Damn this is good stuff. Too bad so many of the guys on here never drop in on Vintage. THIS HAS TO BE THREAD OF THE MONTH!!! DM
the SWB pics are not from Le Mans 1962. No.19 was the 250 GTO 3705GT and 18 was a 250 TR. where are they from? s/n ? is 18 1931GT ?
Would it be safe to assume that the photo with the yellow # 18 cars shows a 250 GT Berlinetta Interim? If that is correct, it would be the NART entered car for Andre Pilette and George Arents and would date the photo to 1959. S/N 1461GT is a LWB Interim that was originally pale yellow and was delivered new to Chinetti. It's maiden race was Le Mans 1959. My bet is 1959.
This #18 is 1931. It is a bog standard alloy 250SWB built for NART and later raced by Denise McCluggage. It was driven by Arents and Connell to 5th place in the 1960 Le Mans race.
Hi Jeroen, If you meant this yellow one, thats true Im driving it but its not a GTB/4 but a standard GTB short nose (but with 6 carbs). Btw the picture was taken by Kevin Blommaert who joined me during the Modena Motorsport Days in July of last year. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The short wheelbase 250 photos could be from 1960 LeMans. #18 I believe is Chassis 1931. I had a chance to do work on that car and drive it when it was owned by Jeff Hayes in the 1980s. Great car! I have no LeMans 1961 so they must be from 1960!
I will be gone for the weekend so I thought I'd leave you guys with a quiz from Daytona 1962. Can you name all three cars & Drivers? Image Unavailable, Please Login
My guess is: Roger Penske Cooper Monaco is car #46 DNF Stirling Moss in car #18 is chassis #2643; finished 4th overall, 1st in class the third car looks like a Fiat Abarth, but none were entered. There was an Alfa Giulietta SZ #82 that was driven by Paul Richards to 26th place, but the nose, windows etc do not look like the Alfa to me.
Stirling Moss drove the GTO Prototype to victory, not a short wheelbase! I will post a picture of it some other time. I don't think the SWB is #18? I believe you are correct about the Alfa SZ.
