Has anyone bought the service manuals on CD that people sell on E-bay? are they any good? If not where can I buy Shop or service manuals for these cars, or any Ferrari for that matter? Does anybody make a book similar to a Chiltons repair manual?

I would love to get a copy. No I havent yet. Just need to finalize the deal on my Cobra. I am also hoping to hold out for a red 348 with under 20K miles for less than 52K. Yeah I know good luck. I really like the Testarossa and will buy if its still available, but have always like the look of the 348. Plus its a smaller car which I like

Michael -- One short-coming of the TR WSM 330/84 is that the electrical schematics only apply to an early standard/euro version TR. If you get a US version TR or the later standard/euro version TR, you'd need the appropriate wiring diagram book too.

No "Chiltons" available IME -- best you can do is OM + WSM + wiring diagram book + Ign & Inj. Diagnostic Notes + FChat ;). Some of the printing on the schematics is incredibly small (and/or in color) so keep this in mind when buying something in (scanned) electronic form.

I'd recommend always checking with FerrariUK first (since their prices on F printed material are by far the best) and www.ferraribooks.com (the site has very good descriptions and jpegs of F literature for each model, and the prices are still quasi-reasonable IMO).

Mike: I got a copy of manuals from TRutlands...like $60 and they have electrical also. The 348 has more feedback and is easier to drive than the TR.
