I had a test from way back where they compared the 996 turbo vs 993 turbo and everytime in first gear the 996 jumped ahead, but by 3rd gear the 993 pulled ahead and kept going. I remember being astonished by this, but it is a smaller car with nearly identical power 420 vs 400. Having said that once you've owned a 996 and get used to the comfort features it is hard to go back. I'd base my decision soley off resale values....look on ebay you'll find 996 turbo's cheaper than 993 turbo's same for non turbo cars too. Hell I had a 996, but have a Boxster S now and enjoy it more haha so who knows it is all personal pref.

I'm selling my '01 996 Turbo in the Spring (of before if I find a buyer, but I was going to wait until Spring to put it up for sale). It's seal gray and has approximately 14k miles on it.

If it's something you want to discuss further or if you want me to send you some pics, please PM me or let me know and I'll PM you.

Mildly tweeked and completely raw set up for the track mainly. Can't go too far with the mods as its only got 25k on the clock and it un-molested. These cars appear to be holding value which is nearly impossible now days so I try to to be careful on the track but its tuff because they are a blast. Yours is a beauty....

    Lot 15, funny, I think around $185k.
