It certainly seems like you were trolling to me. On a Lamborghini fan site, you introduce yourself as "never liked Lamborghini". Then you tell everyone you want a Ferrari. Then you tell everyone your dad bought your Boxster for you and you are 19. What did you exactly expect from them? And..now you come over here and complain about it?!?
What i don't get in the end is that on a forum you can/will always end up with guys even more stubborn than you can be. Just let them be happy and that's it. Who cares...it's not a war, hello. And if someone thinks Fcars are crap, well, he's free to do so, and even by some distance right (though if so, lambos are even bigger crap, of course). Same for porsches or whatever. Lpower tosses around 'gay' and '***' like Fchat tosses around ' Ferrari history'. In both cases, they have no real value anymore. But now that I got that out the way. I like Lpower( it helps that I recognize the truth in that Lambos are the best thing to come out of Italy). Its definitely a diff feel than here and thats why I like it. Who really wants to peruse two of the same forums? Its definitely not a forum for everybody(as is the case with Lambos themselves) but those who like it, really like it because it doesn't excercise much restraint in the need to apease everyone, just those its looking to serve. Uh, it's starting again. The epitome of Lambos' was at the very beginning of their existence. Since the Miura, it only went down. There were no innovations -bar the hair-dresser doors, if you call this innovation- since then. And now they're mainly better Audis. SUre, F-cars are better Fiat in a way too, but it remains italian (yeah yeah...), and they have their own engines/design/etc, and seem quite free and competent enough to decide without having 1000 engineers from the mother company running over and making it richtig. I mean, sure, they're everyboy's poster dream, but on the street when you see one, you can't help but feel sorry for the owner (he doesn't care, i know) that usually is a mullet that made it, featuring all the required gold stuff. I still find it fun that you can say from a bent in the roofline if a diablo cracked 300 kmh or not...what a tout bodyshell....And we don't speak about the ugly/crappy interior or clutches that vanish in one parking exit, or the "superior" fit and finish.
I have to say that i have been a member of Allan's site since 04 and have posted a few Ferrari items and have not had any bad reactions from any members there, Allan has said the odd bad comment but that is Allan for you and if you dont take it personal and have a go back at him he can be quite a funny guy, i am sure that if you came here stating that you hate Ferrari you may have had a similar welcome.
If that's actually how he introduced himself ... well ... yeah. pwned. Rightly so. I never liked Alan's e-behaviour, not really funny, always arrogant only to get reactions from people, so predictable ... but I'm pretty sure he's alright in real life. This being said, I did sign up on lpower, browsed for a day or 2, didn't really like it, don't think I ever posted, didn't go back. Plain and simple. It's the internet, use the "back" or "close" (that's Alt+F4) button if you don't like it.
For Allen to just pop up here with that stupid "panties" comment etc is just plain ridiculous. Chris started a thread and straight away was shot down, things just got worse and the members of lambo-p just fed on this. It happens so much on this forum and others and i always try and see the light from both sides but i just detest it when people start quizzing others "is this you're car or you're dads", "show us pictures to prove it" and all this crap. Seems to just be part of life whereby some bigshots etc just cant get on with life without slagging others, thats why generally they do not have any genuine friends and if so very few, only hangers on due the car that they own. Feckum! Chris, just a quickie. These a55holes come from everywhere, L-ville, F-ville, P-ville, you name it. so true.i find myself,despite being a HUGE lambo-fan(with the bank-busting maintenance bills as concrete proof!) to be a huge fan of several Ferraris(512M, 456GTa,275 gtb,p4 330 etc)as well as Maserati(ghibli2,khamsin,3200gt,quattroporte 4&5,mexico,shamal) and porshce(928,993 turbo,944 carrera)....so what's the problem?it's US!we just can't seem to get along! in Malaysia,ferrari and even bmw and merc fans(those are the top 3 with porsche,honda and toyota up next) look at astons,lambos and audis as if they're hyundai tiburons. that's human nature i guess...hating what you don't know 5hit about! (some mullet wearing 355/575 owner keeps telling me my lp400 is a pile of crap! and the funny thing is;his laptimes on the sepang circuit in a 360 challenge stradale(he practices several times a year!)is slower than many of my collegues as well as myself in 1600cc track-saloons!!!)consider yourselves lucky...the majority of f-car and l-car and even p-car owners there seem to have a mutual respect towards each other's marques.over here,ppl with substance have grown to dislike ferraris due to the image problem....thx to their owners!
I think Allan would have had a field day with the guy from NJ who had a Mullet and drove a Red 348 Spider. JVBR or something, that would have been classic. So if you type in Corvette on the Lambo Power it shows as POS? Only Allan.
If the Diablo interior is ugly, the Testarossa interior is disgusting. If the Diablos roofline bends at 300kmh ( ive only dont this on numerous occasions without an issue, as have 10's of my buddies) then an Fcar motor would grenade before coming close to 300kmh. Lambos interiors wear far better over time than any Fcar. Loved my melting 355, my falling appart TR, and ohhh, how about that awesome 348 I had? And its funny, on a Diablo spraying nitrous, my clutch was good after almost 8 years. So please, put down the crackpipe.
You are really funny,until Audi started making these cars,they looked,felt,performed and kept their value like the kit cars they really were. They still don't perform,still look like kit cars,still lose their value faster then a Kia,just better put together.
And i guess your diablo is a high mileage one (for a lambo), reaching 10'000 miles, 9'900 of them at the back of a towing truck ? Of course as well they wear well, they are never used. It's too hot, i can't use my lambo. It will overheat even with the engine off. It's raining ? Oh, no chance, it will spin even at rest. It's an underground parking ? I can't get in (or out of the car if the roof is low enough). Heu heu heu...you should put down your pink gayardish glasses, eh mate ! BTW, if your 355 was malting, are you sure you didn't get one of those replicas, with big fibre wings bought from a lambo surplus ? I mean, these can't be taken seriously. At all.
