I just read about the 430 spider on two magazines, on both they said is the best ferrari now. (of course excepting Enzo)
Of course I agree about sensations mainly because of the sound when u are without roof, but what about dynamics???

Almost the same, wonderfull both I know..

But WHAT´S THE DIFFERENCE IN FIORANO TRACK, 2 SECONDS MAYBE?

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE LAP TIME IN FIORANO?????

    Thank u all.

Maybe is not very popular to say that there´s a real difference between them. Maybe there is not such a difference. Who knows?

This is hardly scientific, especially given some of the stuff they've pulled in the past, but when TopGear tested the F430 they took a Spider around the track as well. The driver in the coupe (apparently a professional touring-car driver) was unable to shake Clarkson in the spider.

Actually it was a Ferrari F1 test driver.

Top Gear said the coupe was only 0.3 of a second faster than the spider.

Do u know in which track was it?
    How long it was?
Here in spain 2 years ago they made a comparisson between 360 coupe and 360 spider.
They said that there was a real difference.
I think around 2 sec in a "more a less" 4 km track.
Do you think that theres more difference between 360-360 sp, than 430-430 spider?
    Why?
The diference in weight is similar.

    coupe/ spider:

    length: 4512mm/ same
    width: 1923mm/ same
    Height: 1214mm/ 1234mm
    Weight: 1450kg/ 1520kg
    Dry weight: 1350kg/ 1420kg
    Weight distribution:
    front; 43%/ same
    rear; 57%

    Performance:

    Max speed: 315km/h. / 310km/h
    F1
    0-400m: 11.95/ 12.05 sec.
    0-1000m: 21.60/ 21.80 sec.

So, after reading all this data it seems that in real life the difference must be little. But in the race track, can Ferrari ingeneers have made such a good work in the torsional rigidity????????????????????

If that 0.3 sec. difference is true the answer I suppose would be affirmative.

sorry if it´s not very polite, only if u can, how did u manage to get that information?

and why the options are heavier? or is just because there are different ones?
