Here's a F430 in CdF. The third pic is a 430 in titanium. It has a metallic finish and is a little lighter than the Silverstone. I think Paris Hilton's 360 Spider is also CdF. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank u very much for the pictures, I like it very much. If u have any more data about canna de f please let us know. cu
I think this is the one you're referring to. The pics were taken from another thread where it was said to be Grigio Scuro. Either the poster in the original thread was incorrect, or these 2 colors are virtually indistinguishable. Either way, it's a truly stunning color on this car. Definitely my favorite. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280543.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280548.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280565.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280578.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280666.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280682.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/P6280704.jpg
Just noticed my links didn't work. Here's the thread I was referring to. Last post of first page. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38692&highlight=green+enzo
That is correct, that is about the price for a "custom" paint -- which is where you specify any color based on providing the factory with a sample. I guess you'd get to name it yourself then, like "my favourite ascot hat cream", "about-to-burst zit yellow" or something. However, for a "out-of-range color" (PNT0) according to my 2005 price list, that would be at the bargain price of 2686 USD. PNT0 can be ordered for any previously available Ferrari color.
That picture was taken at Laguna Seca, so more than likely yes. Beautiful color - I had never heard of it either but add me to the "That's Hot" camp along with Paris Hilton. >8^) ER
I guess in my ignorant days of before I mis-identified the color. So you tell me if this is CdF or Grigio Scuro. I just wish my photography was better 2 years ago and I had taken more pictures of the car when it was there. Looed VERY good on the Stradale though (imo). Sorry if I don´t understand very well but then CDF is custom colour or, out of range colour? Thank u again
Since CdF is a "Ferrari Color" it is considered an "out of range" option if it is not listed as a standard choice when ordering the car (which I would believe this is the case with the F430). Basically there are 16 colors available for no additional cost, a *bunch* of colors that Ferrari have made available in the past (of which Cdf is just one) that can be ordered for a "modest" charge of $2686 (may be higher for 2006). Then there is *every* other color that you can think of which is called a "custom color" which is about $5500 where you provide a sample to your dealer and the factory will match it exactly. So, if you want hello-kitty pink this is what you'd do....
The new Miami Vice movie which comes out in July will feature a CdF 430 Spider. Check out the movie website for a cool trailer, it looks like there will be a chase scene with a Bentley Continental GT. Image Unavailable, Please Login
so can someone tell me is this grey a pure grey? hard to tell in the pics though it looks like it. i'm set on Silverstone because i have no other choice since i'm not liking the brown tone. the CDF is interesting...
CDF is a very complex color, especially in sunlight. Gunmetal grey with gold and brown tones is the best way I can describe it. Gary
I've seen what I thought was Silverstone in person once and in pictures hundreds of times and I thought it definitely had brown tones to it. Titanium seems like the only grey without a brown tint. Silverstone reminds me of Porsche's slate grey. I have been accused of being colour blind so maybe I'm seeing things that others aren't.
The enzo is being shot with mid-high sun behind it so the bronz metal particles are providing most of the lustre. Hence, not much of the standard grey come through. Great effect and shows how the colour changes in different light; just look at the several astonished responses.
