so, it was red, painted blue while it was used in texas. It was tracked while it was blue, the headlight things were changed to black.

So, i think its for sale at Silicon Valley automotive group

what else should i know about it?

Who owned it, when was it painted, where was it owned, how many times has it been sold?

    thanks

I think the Texas owner was either Dahr Jamail (sp?) or John Mecom. I can't remember which one.

I really wish the car was still Azzuro California.

I know at one point, post Rosa Corsa respray, it was owned by Nicolas Cage. The car still has the wrong headlamps, and is indeed for sale at Silicon Valley Auto Group where it has "never been tracked". I also am for the notion that it should still be Azzuro California

i took a look at the car today. it had a perfect paint job. Obviously it was a very expensive repaint as i could see no signs of the color change. The guy selling it was telling a possible customer how great the car was, and how it had never been tracked. He pointed out how it had no missing chunks in the front lip, and that it was for sale at a wonderful price of $725,000

Are you thinking about buying it? Great if you are! :) It has been tracked though, when it was blue. Here's pics

Wasn't it Mark Rand who owned it when it was Azzuro California? Probably after Dahr Jamail who bought it from new? I have to look up the details, as this is just from memory ....

jamail was the original owner and had the car painted blue - the same color as most of the ferraris he has owned. it then went to mark rand in dallas, who left it blue. it is rand that you see at texas world speedway "tracking" the car. other than running laps at tws, the car wasn't "tracked" to my knowledge. those photos were taken at a ferrari event in 97 or 98. after having it sit on the showroom for for some time, ferrari of dallas sold the car to cage. i don't know if the car was repainted red prior to the sell or after, but the repaint was done by the body shop at ferrari of houston.
