    Hello fellow "F"-Chatters,

    Ok, gonna try it today (weather perimts).

    As far a the gear selector shifter is concerned, is there a better position for it to be in beofre attempting this job, nuetral, 1st, 2nd, ??

    If I remember correctly, 3rd gets the shift shaft as far fwd as it will go, makes it a little easier to slide the rear part of the shaft past the disconnected joint.
