I grew up in a wealthy neighborhood. A few doors down the street was a kid just like Dan. He felt the rules did not apply to him. This person lost his DL numerous times. When he had no DL he would ride a Japanese super bike and out run the police. He was in and out of jail numerous times. Instead of taking over his father's liquor store and making himself $150,000/year as a HS graduate he now works as a plumber's helper. You can lead a horse to water.................

I know my plumber for many years, he nets $65,000/year. When you leave the nest you'll discover housing and general living expenses will eat up that amount in no time. The only way to make big money in plumbing is to have 100 employees, doing tracts of homes. You spend every penny you come in contact with, how would you finance starting a large operation?

Dan, I was avoiding this (and your previous 'I got a ticket' thread) until I saw the above quote.
The Ciezniewzky legacy is going to be a biblical example of lameness when it is complete.

pulling the sign would never work because the officer would claim in court that the sign was there, then there would be an investigation into its dissappearance and "your friend" would probably be caught as the motive is quite transparent.

also, if someone were to run the stop sign (since you removed it) and be killed, "your friend" would be found liable for the other person's death. This has happened a number of times where troubled youth remove stop signs as a joke and someone dies as a result, the kids are then charged with manslaughter (i believe, might be wrong on the exact charge)

One option, however, for getting out of said ticket is to examine the stop sign and the area around it. I got out of running a stop sign because there was another sign blocking my view and it was not well lit (obviously happened at night). I flew past the stop sign without ever seeing it. My situation was legitimate and I had an attorney representing me. If you post the stop sign from 100yds away maybe we can find something obstructing it's visibility and he might have a case

 

Reminds me of many stories I have heard in the past regarding stolen stop signs and deaths. Here's one of them:

Go to a plant nursery, buy a big bush or short tree. Plant it in front of the stop sign, take a pic showing the sign is obscured by foliage, then remove the tree and plant it in your backyard .

 

You could always replace the stop sign with a "mentally retarded children at play" sign. Take a picture of it with you and your friend running around in the grass nearby to make it more believable.

 

And you know this from your years of engineering study. The only way you will ever learn is when you go to jail for causing an injury or someone in your family gets hurt because of a similar stunt. Dan you are a danger to the general public.

Dan, please get some help--I'm serious (not pulling your leg, not jerking your chain, and not making fun of you). If you are posting 'for real' you need some counseling.
