Vik- I have a conf call still scheduled for 4.30 Pacific today that's likely to put me out of the box for dinner tonite. I will catch up with all of you here, on the 'Net, and soon, i hope, in person. Perhaps if the weather holds here in the NE, we can plan a drive with the usual suspects. I'll be out on the west coast this weekend for an industry thing, but back in the loop by midweek, next week.
Okay, the 15th of February will probably work for me. I'll fly up in the afternoon and can meet in the city for dinner. My boss may tag along (I think I freaked him out about a bunch of Ferrari owners in Manhattan. Evening of the 16th I have a video conference with Tokyo, fly to Japan that Friday. Typical week in my life...
Vik, Matt, Sam, Clyde, great dinner last night. Bill, sorry you missed it. Vik, you gave me too much money back.
I had a great time guys. It was nice to meet you all. Since I will be here for 9 months, I have a feeling I will be seeing a lot of you guys. Now to see if I can expense my car transportation!
Was wonderful chatting with you guys. Rijk: You mentioned you had a daytona. Care to share why you parted with it?
Clyde, Probably the sell I will regret most in my life will be the Daytona. However, the move from Manhattan to our weekend place upstate was a mistake. The car was not happy in the Catskills. The Dayona did not like the harsh winters up there and the heavy steering and 30 year old breaking technology did not go very well with the curvy mountain roads. They're asking me to sit in on a two day meeting on Wednesday and Thursday now. I might change my flight to that Saturday so I can go to an advisory board meeting for the local University (since I haven't been in two years) that Friday...
