I have many premonitions and because so many have come to be well thats why I'm afraid of the big birds. I'm a helicopter pilot and I love to fly stuff where only fits two people or so but thats it.
To give my last example which to me is one of the less shocking ones coming from my past experiences:

A few weeks ago I had a dream that I was a passenger in a plane taking off from Miami, as we were in the air the plane started to just fall, then I had a vision of the outside view of the plane and I could see it falling towards water like a lake or the sea, then I'm back inside the plane seated and I see open air in front of me as if what was in front of me had broken off or dissapear. As this goes on I see next to me are my brother and my wife and I thinking we are going to die, but after the whole crash takes place the I find myself with both of them staring at the crash, alive and we walked away from it, the only ones alive as a matter of fact. I woke up from the dream and one of the things that stayed in my head was the number 3, we were three that made it but the number 3 was an important thing, much more than the whole episode. Later that day at night I watched the news and I hear about a plane that exploded and crash in the water over in Miami that afternoon, then they said three young souls, a baby and 2 other very young kids. I was speechless and felt everything deeply as I knew what my dream was about, the three innocent souls had passed away in a tragic and horrible accident but they were then and are today very happy.

I love flying. If I could, I would become a military pilot (maybe Navy?). The F-14 would've been awesome to fly around, but since those are pretty much non-existant, an F/A-18 would suffice :D The odds of me becoming a pilot in that case is <0.00001% most likely.

If I know the process correctly, you need a 4 year degree (check, getting that in May). Then you have to take some exam by the ROTC or something. That'll see if you'd be best as a pilot, navigator, etc. Then you have to become an officer (~6 mo training as far as I know). Then you have to dedicate a minimum of 7 years to the armed forces you go into. Then you're told where you'll live (I'm an independent person so I wouldn't enjoy that that much).

I probably have the order mixed around in there. I don't even know if you need a pilot's license before any of these either. They also pick which type of aircraft you fly obviously. You could get anything from a Gulfstream GII to a JSF. It takes a lot of dedication and I have a lot of respect for those guys. I think I'll become a doctor instead, lol, I like that stuff a lot, too (only surgery though).

I HATE to fly. Don't know what it is maybe when I was younger I had flown to Washington state with my aunt and on the way back after takeoff the plane made an emergency landing (like right now) because of some small fire (is there such a thing on a airplane?). At the time I thought it was fun (I was about 5 or 6) but now looking back it scares the hell out of me. I need to be drugged up to get on a plane. Last time I flew my wife had to bribe me buy renting a 348 in Vegas. She doesn't like to fly with me all too much after going to New Zealand with her (when we first met) and I was a zombie for the entire trip.

Some of the AAdvantage Platinum bennies include:

    - Priority Check-in (First Class check-in and early boarding no matter what class I fly)... I don't have to wait in long ticketing or boarding lines.
    - Some free First Class upgrades
    - 100% AAdvantage mileage bonuses on every flight (double miles for faster free tickets)
    - Priority standby (my name goes towards the top of the list when I fly stand-by)
    - Some bennies are also offered by AAdvantage "Partners"... rental car companies, hotels, etc.

Overall, not much for that kind of loyalty. But the nice thing is I'll be Platinum for life (no need to qualify every year)... even when I stop traveling for business purposes.

Sweet video! That's what I'm talking about right there! too bad the camera wasn't pointed the other way so you can see the G load off the HUD as the vapor trails form off the wingtips

I can just imagine the forces tossed me around, the speed jeans squeezing my legs and torso, the horizon view spinning around, water level over sky and the oil/machinery smell of the cockpit...That is a ride Disneyland cannot touch! :)

As far as flying without leaving the plane goes... I hate flying commercial because I hate being surrounded by filthy bastards and their annoying children coughing up diseases in a sealed tube for hours at a time. By the time I get through airport security, dealing with the incredibly rude and uneducated TSA employees, and the herds of sheep wandering aimlessly through the terminals, I'm already annoyed. Getting on the plane and finding out that even in my "first class" seat (which is about 1" wider than a normal seat), I get to spend the next 4+ hours trying to avoid being suffocated by the 200lbs of excess fat hanging off of the fat, disgusting, sweaty pig next to me who apparently hasn't showered in 6 months.

I love flying in general though. I've been handed the controls in a Pitts S2C, various Cessnas, a couple Pipers, and a Twin Otter.

I used to want to be an Air Force pilot when I was younger. But just a few years ago I developed a fear of flying. I hate the feeling of knowing that once something goes wrong it's almost an 85% chance your gonna die.

    ...I still fly though. :)

I have a friend who is a Southwest Airlines pilot based in Dallas. He took me to the Southwest Simulator ("Sim") where I flew a 737 around the Dallas area at about 2500 feet. I flew it over Texas Stadium, Ameriquest Field and Texas Motor Speedway. I wasn't concerned at all. :)

I use to love flying, I would travel so much. I remember that I would look forward to a flight going to India, which was 27 hours total traveling time. But in the last few years, for some reason I have been hesitant of flying. Its not the turbulence that bothers me. Its multiple things such as the pilot making an error on take off or having some mechanical and eletrical problem. I even get freaked out when the plane is traveling over water. I start imagining what if the engines fail and the plane nose dives into the water. I know flying is the safest method of transportation, but if there was a problem your chances of survival is less than a car accident.
