Hi ... well, I'm calling the FChat gurus once again as I'm totally lost. I have a couple .avi movies that I want to put on a DVD that will play in any home DVD. I have NeroVision 2 (as well as Nero 6 to burn CD and DVDs), and thought it would be perfect, and I could bring my holidays movies at family reunions and stuff. Nope. The DVD works in my home player, there is my beautiful menu, the videos play (good quality as well!) ... but there's no frickin' audio! Put the DVD in the puter, no Audio_TS folder! Now I have looked at just about every option on Nero ... and there is no audio option anywhere ... so I have no clue on how to fix this! It's quite frustrating, to say the least, going from "yes!!! here's my menu with my fokkin face on it!!!" to "mmmk, why can't I hear myself talking? I should hear the car passing by, now ... damnit"... I tried with another program called vsodivx to dvd, and exact same crap, no Audio folder! Can anyone help me?
The AUDIO_TS folder doesn't contain the audio for the video program; that is all within the VIDEO_TS folder. That folder is for something else (DVD audio discs, I think), and not needed on most movie DVDs. You might want to analyze the .AVI files and determine exactly what codecs were used. You might have a codec on your computer that will decode only, like an MPEG-2 codec. Maybe you can extract (or demux) the audio stream from the video, and convert if necessary, and then put them back together with standard codecs.
