CAUGHT and confirmed, woman's conspiracy to manipulate men

Dear Guys,

This is not copy & paste...this is fresh off my keyboard & direct:

I recently stumbled onto something quite significant, I think bringing this to our attention would be one step closer to us men uniting in unveiling what we have long suspected: woman collectively working to manipulate us!

There I was, sitting in front of the tv, eating a bit of food just enjoying the moment. Suddenly I became aware of something....couldn't put my finger on it. I'd have to say it was like a fly hovering nearby or something distracting.... but nothing definitive. As I sank back into my tranquil state and began to eat I suddenly realized what it was: someone was speaking to me.

I fought to tune-out the noise and just resume my intake of caloric delight when a voice in my head kicked me out of my mellow state. Like a patient coming out of a coma I stepped up into a higher plane of awareness and realized it was in fact my wife talking to me. Indeed, she was telling me about some kiddy party that I was obligated to attend, this coming weekend no less!!

Now here's the thing....she was telling me about it in such a way that undoubtedly I would later be saying "You NEVER told me!!!!" and she'd reply "Yes I did, you just don't remember!!!!". Brothers, we've all been there....you know what I mean!!!!

But here's the kicker: when I stepped back from my happy-place and realized she was talking to me....she too suddenly realized I was entirely listening and her telling me something when I'm in a near hypnotized state would not work. Yes, she was CAUGHT.

Guys, be aware of this ploy: they intentionally will tell us things knowing that it won't reach our conscious but will be planted in our subconscious only later to compromise our sense of not being certain if we were or weren't told about certain events or obligations.

I confronted her and asked if she was intentionally skirting around the envelope of my attention...but she denied it. Only later did I see her logging onto her computer and posting something on a forum. So there you have it, I've uncovered and foiled "Manipulation 2.0"...no doubt these estrogen-pumping divas are already evolving "Manipulation 2.1"...no telling what they're upto or which one of us will fall prey to their ways next.

Chris....you have the wisdom of a married man and yet you still don't bear the "Ring of Ownership & Detainment"....truly amazing insight on your part.

It's hard to read betweetn the text, but out of boredom I'm just rambling away for kicks & laughs. But honestly, I did pull myself out of being half-alert and realized she was softly applying some form of making me aware of a date so that later she could claim she told me. And when I pulled myself into full alertness, she realized it and I could see that expression "gulp" on her face: now she had to deal with a fully-alert & aware person...

Like I say, I'm just goofing around. I'm blessed to have a wonderful wife BUT I soooooo often find myself in utter amazement at how often she tells me she told me something and I have little or no recollection of it.

Course, she didn't recall her agreeing with me that I should buy a 355 for my 40th birthday in lieu of our kids college fund....she how that **** works!!
