Just got the official email from Ferrari Owners website. There are now only 23K registered Ferrari Owners...and they estimate that worldwide the number of F car owners is about 60K. So there you have it...6 billion people 60K Ferraris...no wonder its near impossible to get on "the list" for a new F car.

    Good luck to all,

    Skyler

Reread the e-mail. It says 23K registered on the owners' site. :)

23K is roughly one third of the worldwide owners(according to the site) representing a total of 69K owners worldwide.

When you buy a new car, you're automatically registered, isn't it? So you can get recall notices.

23,000 sounds quite small compared w/ numbers of F car sold in the US for each models. Then again, out or 23K registered owners, there must be multiple F car owners.

Now I wonder when they started gathering stats at F Owner's site.

Good question, be cool to have a list of all models and how many were made each year etc.

The list is in the back section of Cavallino magazine. It lists each model (both street models and race models), the years made, the total production count, price ranges, and the trend in pricing (if it has been adjusted recently). It is a good chunk of info to have, and I think it gives some insight into which models may see appreciation due to being undervalued for the rarity of the model.

Now I'm curious how many people own Lambos or some of the extremely rare cars like Bugattis, Koenigseggs, Paganis... Imagine being one of the .00000001% of people in the world with a Bugatti :D

For some reason I remember this number 80,000 cars total built. The equivalent to the Dodge neon built in one year of production. TO ferraris total built line since its history.

I cant remember where I heard or saw this, but that was what the calculation was. (Thats what I seem to recall)

Imagine if the Sultan of Brunei had (at least!) one of each of those, he would then be 1 of >6,000,000,000 people in the world! :)

you are correct! my question is, who is considered a "real" Ferrari owner - in my estimation a "Ferrari Owner" is the person who's name is on the title - not the name of the lease company on a document for a car a person drives.
