Tim - Only you can make this decision. But, if you are truly sick and tired of your surroundings, then go somewhere else. Can't hurt to give it a try!!

I just moved down to NC from CT back in November, because I absolutely hated the CT winters, the traffic, and the snooty people invading Fairfield & New Haven County. Just that simple. I could've stayed up in CT, but knew that if I did, I was just spinning my wheels. So, I decided to give North Carolina a try. And here I am. So far, so good :) !!

And I was just down in Florida (north Fla. Daytona, St. Augustine, Palm Coast area), for a week. It was quite crowded down there as well, and the locals told me that it was getting pricey to live down there. That, and the houses under $300k are built like crap.

Best of luck to ya TSC!!!

If you want to stay in CA, move to the Bay Area, you can get away from all the stuff you don't like in SoCal.

Though I imagine modelling would be slim pickins.

I had lunch with a buddy & his family today that want to bail on SoCal & LA back to NY (NJ actually). He's tired of the crowds, traffic, and trembling ground.
