My wife and I will be in Normandie for the last week in March first week in Feb. Can anybody recommend any off the beaten track places we should visit? Thanks chas
Where in Normandy - at the top edge is Le Treport with fab seafood eg L'homard bleu - at the other end is the Bayeux Tapestry & all the WW2 stuff - Rouen is very pretty in the oldest parts
Chas, Normandy is quite large (by European standards) and varied. I'm not a local but nice places (although not really off the beaten track) I have been to include: - Honfleur - Cabourg - Trouville - Deauville These are all by the sea-side. There are some really nice little villages inlands and scenic routes as well. You should use Michelin road maps; scenic routes are identified by a green border. I hope you enjoy your trip and PM me if you happen to be in Paris. Louis
My map says its in Brittany and about 50 miles from Rennes with just the other side of it a great car museum at Loheac - Le Mans with its museum looks to be about 100 miles away too
