As a parent, of a child close to that age, I find it disturbing.

I would never cause emotional pain to my child as a way to amuse myself. It would have been different if the child laughed it off, but the child was distraught by the prank, and the father seemed amused, making sure to capture his son's pain in perfect cinematic glory.

Now, if I pulled that on my wife, that would be priceless.

I couldn't do that to a child. I had a friend of mine (22 year old female) try that same thing, scared the hell out of her, and even she wouldn't talk to me for a while

 

Listening to some of my wife's daily activities as a elementary school counselor, I don't think it's that easy.

Point is, it was unnecessary.

When you have children, and walk in a parent's shoes, you will understand where I am coming from.

those usually don't fool me, but the first time i played that game freaked the hell out of me. horrible that the dad did that, i only used it on a few of my friends.
