Perhaps they could add Brazilian Ju Jitsu as well, bring in male ice dancing, wrestling, 2 man luge, etc? Have the Homolympics ;)

They need all those curlers to get HBO that far north. ;)

I think "curling" is a sport, because "hair spraying" is bad for the environment. :D

It's the *winter* olympics -- just be glad they don't have Olympic Euchre.
(Although olympic cyber poker may be in the cards ...)

Curling was invented by either the Scots or the Dutch depending on who you listen to. The Scots popularized it and brought it with them when they migrated to Canada and the States. It has been around since the 1600's, so as a sport, it's a lot older than most. Since there is very little "action" and no one gets punched, it's not a popular spectator sport.

I don't have a problem with them televising curling, at least someone wins. I hate when they put the figure skating practice or the exhibition after the event on T.V.

    Had to laugh...

My 2 1/2 year old son saw curling on the TV the other night and said

"Hey daddy, those hockey players have Roombas!"

My wife and I nearly fell out of our seats laughing!

If you don't know what a "Roomba" is, check it out( www.irobot.com ). My wife swears that these were the best gift she recieved for X-mas! They Really work well!
