I think if you saw it in person, you would probably change your mind. Not that I have, but I find that pictures do not do justice to new designs.

OH THIS IS MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN AN ENZO. COME ON: AN ENZO IS EVERYTHING but GOOD LOOKING. A BEAUTIFUL FERRARI HAS FEMININE LINES NOT STEROID-LIKE FORMS.

    599 IS A CLASSIC

Thats fine, but the rear of the 275 GTB looks beautiful, the rear of the 599 looks...well a*s ugly. Pininfarina and Ferrari should be ashamed for having basically carte blanche to create a beautiful replacement to a magnificent looking, timeless GT (the Maranello) and to come up with an utterly cheap looking fraud of a Ferrari. Looks like the only acceptable characteristics of the 599 are the engine and the interior which have been executed wonderfully. The rest looks like crapola.

I know that road well through Valley of Fire and hitting 150mph on it would be difficult as its very twisty, the Lake Mead road 150mph is doable.

Too bad I didn't drive it this weekend in my BB it would have been a interesting contrast of cars.

I won't call the 599 "ugly", but the design has to grow on me. It looks like a modernized Toyota Supra to me, especially the profile.

I know it takes a while for the new designs to grow on us, so I'll try to keep an open mind.

One is pure unadulterated sex, the first hypercar, first 200mph prouction car, etc. The other is dogmeat.

I'm not sure why they are posing the 599 next to an F40, definately not a way the flatter the 599, putting it next to a car that is an entirely different class -- and much sportier looking. Unless they are going to show how the 599 will kick ass on the F40 -- that would be cool!!

I think it looks considerably smaller side by side. The F40 is clearly wider and considerably lower. Interesting.

Pure sex, the two of these together. Fact is they both have some awkward angles, and they both have angles that make me melt. They are both Ferraris, which is to say bold, bold enough to piss some people off and make them call it ugly. The 599 is simply gorgeous in the second pic.

I'm not so sure about your analogies but I see your point. ;)
However, each car has a very specific mission. The 599 is the ultimate GT/Supercar. The Enzo is the ultimate Hypercar.

Gentlemen, please show me the GM model this car, any part of this car, resembles, other than then fact that it has four wheels and taillights.

I saw the 599 in Maranello last fall, it looks much better in person but it is not a "sexy" looking car like the 308/328's. Definately needs to grow on you.

    I really like this car

that's how the SCAGLIETTI should have looked like
then no one would have lost faith in modern Ferrari design

Awesome pics, interesting comparison between the 599 and F40. I am not a big fan of 599 styling the tail lights need some work and side ducts could also use a redesign.
